“Damien contacted me.” I said and there was silence.

“What does he want?” She asked.

“A deal.” I said.

“Of course he does.” She scoffed.

“He wants safe passage out of the county.” I said and Paige’s voice hardened.

“You’re not agreeing to that without checking what he has.” She said.

“I know.” I said.

“What is he offering?” She asked.

“Victor’s final hideout.” I said and she was silent for a moment.

“That could be useful.” She said.

“It could also be a trap.” I said.

“Then don’t walk into it alone.” She said.
