Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 450

CHAPTER 239-2

When she pulled away, she rested her forehead against mine.

“Go.” She said and I smiled faintly.

“I am going.” I said so she stepped back.

I climbed onto the motorcycle and the engine came alive beneath me.

Paige stood beside the garage entrance as I pulled away and I looked back once.

She was still watching and I knew she would be.

By the time I reached the clubhouse, the rest of the Iron Vipers were already gathering.

Motorcycles filled the parking area.

Engines rumbled beneath the cold morning air and every patched member had arrived.

Derek stood near the front of the convoy, while Mason checked the riders.

Ethan was carrying the final maps and Tyler stood with the other former Black Reapers who had

chosen to help.

Cole and Aaron were there too. Even the newer defectors had decided to stay close, although they

weren’t riding with the main group.

Families gathered near the clubhouse entrance and Emma stood with Sophia, and several of the children clung to their mothers.

The atmosphere was heavy, but nobody looked defeated.

We had lost people. We had lost businesses. We had been attacked repeatedly.

However, we were still standing.

I walked toward the group and Derek looked at me.

“Everyone is ready.” Derek said and I nodded.

“Then we go.” I said.

Before I climbed onto my motorcycle, Emma hugged me.

“Bring everyone home.” Emma said.

“I will.” I said and Sophia stepped forward.

“Be careful.” Sophia said.

CHAPTER 239 2

“I will.” I said as Mason checked his bike one final time.

“Victor has nowhere left to run.” Mason said as I looked toward the road.

“Then we make sure he can’t.” I said as the engines started.

One after another, the Iron Vipers mounted their motorcycles.

I looked at the clubhouse one final time.

This was more than a building. It was where our families gathered. Where we celebrated. Where we fought. Where we had survived.

Today, we were riding away from it together.

The convoy moved onto the road. Motorcycles stretched behind me in a long line and Derek followed directly behind while Mason rode farther back, while Ethan and Tyler stayed near the

center.

The morning sky was beginning to brighten and for once, I didn’t feel like we were riding into

another war.

I felt like we were riding toward its end.

Back at Lawson Customs, Paige stood near the garage doors with Emma, Sophia, and the other

women.

The workshop was open, although nobody expected much customer traffic that morning.

The families had returned there because it gave everyone something to do while they waited.

Paige stood outside with her arms folded and she watched the road and Sophia stepped beside

her.

“You okay?” Sophia asked and Paige nodded.

“I will be.” Paige said as Emma placed a hand on her shoulder.

“They will come back.” Emma said as Paige swallowed.

“I know.” Paige said and Sophia studied her for a moment as Emma walked away.

“Does Jace know yet?” Sophia asked and Paige looked at her.

“No.” Paige said as Sophia’s expression softened.

“You didn’t tell him?” Sophia asked.

“I didn’t want to distract him.” Paige said.

“He needs to know about the baby.” Sophia said and Paige placed a hand over her stomach.

“I will tell him.” Paige said.

“When?” Sophia asked.

“When he comes home.” Paige said as Sophia looked toward the road.

“You really think you can keep that secret until then?” Sophia asked and Paige smiled faintly.

“I have managed this long.” Paige said and Sophia looked between Paige.

“How long?” Sophia asked and Paige gave her a small smile.

“Long enough.” Paige said as Sophia shook her head.

“You’re unbelievable.” Sophia said.

“I just need him focused today.” Paige said as Sophia sighed.

“I understand.” Sophia said as Paige looked toward the horizon.

“He needs to come home first.” Paige said.

Her hand remained against her stomach and then she whispered so quietly that only the women

beside her could hear.

“Then I will tell him that he’s going to be a father.” Paige said.

Miles away, the Iron Vipers convoy continued toward the quarry.

The road narrowed as the buildings disappeared behind them.

Trees surrounded both sides of the highway, and the rising sun cast long shadows across the

pavement.
