Ruined By My Brother's Best Friend (by Silverwriter) novel Chapter 147

Summary for Chapter 147: Ruined By My Brother's Best Friend (by Silverwriter)

Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 147

My phone dinged with a message, and I pulled it out. It was a message from Sierra.

Tell me everything about your date! Now! I’ve waited long enough.

I smiled before sending her a text promising to discuss everything when I saw her in person instead.

A little giggle escaped my lips at her snarky response.

Of course, I knew you would say that. That’s totally unfair, by the way!

Shaking my head, I stopped typing and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. Afterward, I dressed in shorts and a tank top before slumping onto my bed and grabbing my phone.

Sierra’s phone call came suddenly, and I picked it up. “I knew your call would call eventually!”

She huffed out a breath, and I imagined her frowning. “You’re so cruel! Why would you torture me this way?”

“Stop being dramatic!” I said, rolling my eyes even though she couldn’t see me. “I never said I wasn’t going to tell you all about the date. Just not now.”

“Why?! This is literally the best time.”

“Why do you think it’s the best time?”

“Because the date just happened! I can’t believe you’re making me spell this out for you!” She shot back, practically screaming at the top of her voice. “At least just tell me something, anything!”

I smiled. “He asked me to be his girlfriend.”

“Shut up!” Sierra yelled, her voice breaking, indicating she was probably jumping up and down. “Are you serious?”

ghed, wondering why she was so excited. I hadn’t even been excited when he’d told me.

“Yes… but isn’t it too soon and rushed? I don’t even know him…”

“What the hell!” Sierra gasped. “Is this a joke?”

I frowned. “What’s the problem?”

She was silent for a moment.

“My… boyfriend… he just showed me a news tab and…”

“What did it say?” I asked, suddenly nervous. “Why do you sound so worried?”

Sierra’s voice was strained. “The Lamborghini… Henry’s car was set on fire.”

Narrow Escape

ARABELLA’S POV

“It makes no sense, Sierra! I don’t even know if he’s alive.”

I was pacing around my office, my hands clasped together as I tried to calm myself down.

It wasn’t working.

“You need to calm down,” Sierra said, rising from her chair. “Have you tried texting him?”

I turned to give Sierra a blank look. “I’ve tried texting and calling him… Why do you think I’m worried?”/
