Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 242
ANABELLA’S POV
“You shot them?” I asked in disbelief, taking a step back as I watched the two men struggle through thej pain.
I couldn’t believe it.
The same man I’d sought protection from was the same one who had caused the pain in the first place
Why did he shoot them all of a sudden?
Unbothered by my reaction, Alvise rose from his seat and calmly slipped the gun back into his holster. “Remember,” he said to them, his eyes hard and unforgiving, “seventy-two hours.”
Nikolai and Paul nodded reverently, but neither of them was able to get a word out.
Alvise wasn’t satisfied. “Use your words.”
“Yes.” They said at the same time, their faces twisted with pain as they forced themselves to stand.
“It will be done.” Paul promised.
Alvise scoffed. “It better be.” He said before stepping out of the booth and approaching me.
I could feel people watching us, so I tried not to make a scene, but it was hard considering I had just seen him shoot two men… dare I say, unnecessarily.
I had no idea what they had done, but seeing Alvise be so cruel was something I knew I could never get used to.
“What do you think you’re doing?” He asked, cocking his head to the side.
“Why did you shoot them?”
Alvise walked past me. “Since when did I start answering to you?”
I huffed at his comment but followed behind him anyway. “You really should see a therapist.”
People stepped out of his way, some nodding in greeting, but the man didn’t bother acknowledging any of it.
“And why will I do that?” he asked as we walked out through the door and it shut automatically behind us.
“You clearly have anger problems,” I ranted, “and then you just act on impulse and…”
Alvise stopped abruptly. However, I noticed too late and ran straight into him, slamming my face against his hard back.
I winced, stepping back and rubbing my nose. “What’s wrong with you?”
“I’m acting on impulse.” He said, dark amusement flickering in his eyes.

“You…” A cuss sat on the tip of my tongue, but the daring look on his face made me snap my mouth shut. “Go get that therapy, Alvise.”
“I’get one right after you get yours.” He proposed.
I scoffed. “I can’t be this perfect and need therapy.” I joked.
Alvise stepped closer, searching my face, his expression suddenly turning serious. “Are you hurt?”
My stomach fluttered at the concern hidden beneath his words as I answered, “No.” I pressed my hand against my nose. “But I almost broke my nose, and that would have been fatal for you.”
He gave me a blank look and shook his head like I was a lost cause before turning around, “I think you might need that therapy more than me, Arabella.”
I followed behind him to the car with a stupid smile on my face.
Sunlight seeping into the room forced me to snap my eyes open.
I sat up on the bed, rubbing my tired eyes while looking around the room.
It was empty… just like I expected.
After getting back from the club yesterday, Alvise barely said a word to me, and when we got to the room, he opened the door for me to go in but told me he had somewhere else to be before leaving.
I got out of bed and walked to the large windows, looking out at the busy property and watching as armed guards walked around with their burner phones in their hands.
“So weird.” I mumbled to myself.
“What’s weird?”
I jumped, my heartbeat slowing its frantic pace as I spun around, clutching my chest.
“Are you serious?” I rasped, breathing in relief as familiar blue eyes clashed with mine. “What are you doing here?”
Alvise stood there with his hair slightly damp and his dress shirt not fully buttoned as he fastened his belt
buckle.
He raised a brow. “That’s a question I never thought I’d be asked in my own room.”
I rolled my eyes. “You sneaked up on me.”
He clasped his wristwatch around his wrist. “I’ve been in the room all this while,” he said. “I was in the closet.”
I gasped. “Oh.” And then, just because I didn’t want him to have the upper hand, I shrugged. “By the way, it’s no longer your room until I leave.”
His eyes bored into mine. “Is that so?”

I nodded, swallowing at the look on his face. The weight of his full attention was almost overwhelming. especially when he looked at me like I was the only thing in the room.
I breathed. “But it’s just for now, though. You can have rights to your room in a few days.”
Alvise buttoned up his dress shirt. “And what’s happening in a few days?”
I looked away. “I’m leaving.” I muttered.
I didn’t know how, but I was going to find a way.
I was sure of it.
When I returned my gaze to him, he was still watching me, studying me intently.
“Hmm.” Alvise hummed, fastening his tie. “And here I was, a little glad to be a squatter in my own room.
I smiled, surprised that he was playing into my dramatic words. “Well…” I leaned against the wall. “Your fiancée will be a great roommate.”
The amusement disappeared from his eyes, and he looked away, grabbing his phone from the table. “I don’t have a fiancée.”
I pushed off the wall and stalked toward him, raising my brows. “Are you sure of that?”
“Precisely.”
“I don’t think Tatiana is aware of this.” I mused. “In fact, I’m pretty sure you both are already married in her head.”
Alvise tilted his head to the side, visibly annoyed. “And what’s your obsession with my relationship with her?” He asked, his minty breath and addictive scent drifting into my nose.
I shrugged. “I’m just curious.”
He stroked his chin. “Be careful, Arabella.”
“Of what?”
Alvise pulled his suit jacket off the back of the chair and slipped it on before walking toward the door. “Of that curiosity. It could be dangerous.”
“Sure.” I said cautiously.
“Go get ready.”
“Why?”
He glanced at his wristwatch. “You need to come down for breakfast in thirty minutes.”
