Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 90

“You really pissed me off, Arabella,” she said as she slipped the photographs back into the envelope. “You know I never want to do these things, don’t you?”

I glared at her, my hands trembling at my sides.

“Now, I’m going to tell you this plainly,” she said, her eyes turning cold. “You’re never, and I mean never, going to speak to him again. I don’t care how you do it… or what you say. I don’t even care what you have to go through to make it happen.”

She glanced down at her nails before looking back at me. “I don’t even mind if you have to fake your own death to make that happen,” she added, then she snapped her fingers. “Just. Do. It.”

Francesca flicked her hair over her shoulder and smoothed a hand down her mini skirt. “Do you understand?”

I stared at her, my heart unbearably heavy and my chest painfully tight, wondering how I’d ended up here.

How had I reached the point where my entire life was being dictated by someone as twisted as her?

What had I ever done to deserve this? When had my life become so pathetic?

As the questions echoed through my head, fresh tears rolled down my cheeks.

Because I knew. I knew the exact moment my life had taken this turn. And she knew it too.

“Are you deaf?” Francesca ground out, her eyes hardening. “Do you fucking understand me?”
