Jade’s pov

“Come on, just one more round,” Dante said and I looked at him.

“You said that an hour ago. Honestly, if I listened to you then we would never leave the bedroom,” I

said and he sighed.

He pulled me closer to him and then frowned.

We had just taken a shower and it’s never just a shower with Dante.

I got dressed, well it’s a good thing he thought ahead.

He had a shower installed in the cottage and then also moved a few of our clothes.

I couldn’t walk into the pack house wearing last night’s dress.

“And we still have that meeting with your Mom and uncle,” he said, and with a sigh.

We got dressed and went straight to the pack house where everyone was having breakfast.

“Well, morning,” Addison said with a smirk and I just rolled my eyes at this.

I sat down and Dante started putting food on my plate.

“The two of you disappeared during the party. It became dull after Jade left,” Ellie said and I looked

at her.

I always thought that she didn’t like me.

But she is still a kid, she is the same age as Alec.

“I had no idea that the Alpha King was so cool. Did you see him playing the guitar?” Alec asked.

“I think the coolest person is Jade, she was really amazing,” Addison said and I just rolled my eyes.

“But didn’t Sasha say that Jade can’t sing?” Billie suddenly asked and all eyes turned to my sister.

“Jade is multitalented I am sure that Sasha just made a mistake,” Mr Bennett said.

“Dad, why didn’t you bring Jay here? I really missed him,” I and Dad explained.

Apparently, there is a constant threat roaming over the coven lately.

So they can’t just come here together, someone has to stay to protect the coven.

It’s why my cousins and even my aunt weren’t able to come.

But Uncle Anthony who hardly attends these things is here.

I am guessing is because they know that we need to talk.

After breakfast, we all headed straight to Dante’s office to talk about this.

“You already told me over the phone. He is back,” Mom said the moment we sat down.

“Yes, he sent a message using Olivia’s brother,” I answered and she frowned.

“What do we do now Mom? I am scared,” I said and her eyes landed on me.

“There is only one thing to do, go to him,” Uncle said and I looked at him confused.

“I am sure soon he will reach out with a location you can go to. You are engaged to the man,” Uncle

added.

“There is no way, my wife isn’t going anywhere,” Dante said.

I looked at him and his eyes were beginning to change color.

“You don’t know the kind of person you are messing with son. If Jade doesn’t go to him willingly,

then we are all doomed,” Uncle explained.

“I don’t care, Jade isn’t going anywhere,” Dante retorted with a growl.

I sighed at this, are they just going to argue about it all day?

“What is wrong little boy? You are having fun sleeping with sisters that you would get us killed just for your own selfish needs?” Uncle asked him.

Before I knew it my uncle was flying across the room.

“I am going to kill you,” Onyx said as he walked towards my uncle.

I ran as fast as I could and stood in Dante and Onyx’s way.

“I will remind you that this man is my uncle. I love and respect him, you do not raise your hand on my uncle,” I said firmly to Dante.

His eyes landed on me and he frowned at this.

“MOVE!” he growled and I stood firmly.

“If

want him, then you are going to get through me,” I said and watched how he sighed.

“So calm down,” I said and then held his hand.

He nodded and then took a few steps back.

“I think you can take him,” Mom suddenly said and I looked at her.

“What?” I asked her and she nodded.

“I know he is more powerful than me. I don’t think there is anyone else that can stand a chance

against him,” Mom explained.

“You want her to fight him?” Uncle asked and Mom nodded.

“You are the one he wants. I don’t think he would hurt you, I saw it, the look in his eyes when he

looked at you back then,” Mom said and I looked at her confused.

“What look was it?” I asked her and heard Uncle sigh.

“Love and obsession, it was a mixture between the two,” Uncle answered.

“Love and obsession?” I asked them and they nodded.

“You are saying that this madman who almost killed a man is in love with Jade? That he is doing all

of this because of love?” Felix asked them.

“You Alpha was also about to kill me,” Uncle pointed it out to him

“But he doesn’t even know Jade, how could it be that he is in love with her?” Addison asked them.

“You will find your answers when you visit the Alpha King,” Mom answered and I frowned at this.

“The Alpha King knows about this person? What the hell is this?” Dante asked them.

“It’s something that is hard to explain, the best way to explain it would be to see it with your own eyes,” Mom answered and I looked at Uncle.

He doesn’t seem to have a clue about what she is talking about.

“You are going to get all of us killed Samantha. What if he decides that Jade isn’t worth it? What if he gets so angry that whatever he feels towards her doesn’t matter?” Uncle asked Mom.

“And you said it yourself, you saw love and obsession in his eyes. Obsession isn’t a good thing,”

Uncle added.

“Yes, usually when someone is obsessed. When they see that they can’t have what they are obsessed with. They would rather destroy it,” Addison said and I sighed.

She isn’t wrong, actually, that is usually what being obsessed is.

I was about to say something but Mom’s phone rang and she picked it up.

The moment she was done her eyes landed on me.

“Someone is planning an attack on the coven, we have about 3 hours to get there,” she informed

“But it takes about 5 hours to get there from here,” I said and she nodded.

“I am coming with you,” I said and we started heading downstairs.
