Dante’s pov

Jade walked into the room and I was about to say something but stopped when I realized that something was wrong with her.

She looked at me and I watched how she sighed.

“What other abilities do you have? You can make me fall asleep, absorb pain, what else can you do?” she asked me.

I don’t know why but I could tell that lying here wouldn’t be a good solution.

“Fine, I will just ask you what I want to ask. Dante, did you imprint on me?” she asked me and I froze on my spot.

How does she know that we imprinted on her?

“Yes, it’s supposed to be invisible. Then how did she see it?” Onyx asked the same question I had in

mind.

“How did you know?” I asked her and she looked at me shocked and angry.

“Is that all you want to know? You don’t want to explain yourself?” she asked me and I looked

down.

“It was all Onyx, I only found out yesterday,” I explained and she looked at me confused.

“Thank you for throwing me under the bus,” Onyx said.

“What else are you expecting me to do? She can’t be angry at both of us,” I tried to justify things.

“Onyx, when did you do this?” she asked Onyx.

“Well, it wasn’t a one-time thing. I have been doing it gradually. If you remember, there was that one time I bit you and tried to control you in the process. That was when it started,” Onyx answered

and Jade sat down.

“That was way before I agreed to stay here with you. That was before I fell in love with you,” she

pointed.

“So you are telling me, that even if I didn’t want to stay here. I would have been forced to do so?” she asked Onyx who couldn’t answer her.

“I am asking you something,” Jade added.

She was calm, but her voice was cold and angry.

“Well, not forced, but why does it matter now? You have decided to stay and the imprint only brings us closer,” Onyx answered.

“Dante, are you telling me that you really had no idea this whole time?” she asked me.

Well, Onyx did tell me that he had a reason for leaving all those bite marks on her body.

He did tell me that it would ensure that she is ours forever and I didn’t question.

I just didn’t think about it too much because it meant Jade wouldn’t leave.

I walked closer to her and when I tried to touch her she moved away.

“Please don’t touch me,” she said and raised her hand to stop me.

“Jade, please believe me, we have a valid reason as to why we did this,” I tried to explain.

I can’t tell her the full truth because I am certain of this but I need proof.

If I am going to send Sasha packing then I need undeniable truth that she isn’t my mate.

If I send her packing now, I would be just a terrible Alpha who’kicked his Luna out.

I would be the villain, plus I also need to understand if Sasha is nothing but a victim in this case.

Not only that, but Jade has a lot to worry about.

“Just trust me,” I said and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.

I was about to answer but she sighed, raised her hand, and got up.

“I am going to sleep in Addison’s room. After tomorrow, it would be impossible for us to have sleepovers. Plus I don’t think I can trust you enough to sleep in the same room as well,” she said and then walked out. She is angry, I should just let her breathe and calm down.

“You were right, she is angry,” Onyx said and I sighed.

“I told you, it would have been better if she found out from us,” I replied.

But the most important question is how on earth did she manage to see that thing?

I mean Onyx made it clear that it had been developing slowly and yet no one could see it.

I looked at Jade, she was wearing a simple black dress as if she didn’t want any attention on

herself.

Too bad, I look for her in every room I walk into.

My eyes will always find hers no matter what.

Her eyes landed on me and I watched as she looked away fast.

Well, it’s good to know that her eyes will always find mine as well.

The party started and we celebrated their engagement.

I looked at Jade who was trying to sneak away from the party.

“That won’t do,” a voice yelled so loud that the entire room went silent.

I watched as people opened the way as if royalty had come through.

That’s when I caught it, the scent of a vampire but how did he get here?

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I finally saw who it was.

Kane Sade is a notorious vampire who works closely with the Vampire King and Prince.

I watched as Kane ran to Jade with his top speed.

He stopped in front of her and he threw a punch but she dodged it without any issues.

I don’t know what is happening here but how dare he?

How dare he come to my pack and attack my wife?

I was about to walk towards them when suddenly someone held my hand.

“You should stay out of this one,” Addison suggested.

I could tell that she was firm at this and she has known Jade for as long as I have and she doesn’t

seem worried.

I watched as Jade and Kane started fighting with one another.

I heard as the room was filled with gasps because of the fight.

Jade, she could keep up with the fighting speed of a vampire and he couldn’t land a blow on her.

“It’s like we are watching lightning strike,” I heard someone murmur and I looked at the fight.

They were moving fast, faster than natural if you ask me but I couldn’t keep up.

But it seemed to other people that they couldn’t see what was going on at all.

Jade, is this how powerful she really is?
