Dante’s pov

“What do you mean by monster?” I asked her and she just sighed.

“Nothing,” she answered and then looked outside.

I knew it, something else other than the fact that I imprinted on her has been on her mind.

I can tell that it has been eating her up from the inside.

“Stop the car,” she suddenly said and I nodded and then I stopped the car.

She looked at me and I watched as her face suddenly turned red out of the blue.

“Can you please f**k my brains out?” she asked me and I froze on the spot.

“What?” I asked her just to make sure that I didn’t imagine it.

“You heard me, my head is spinning with all these thoughts and questions. Please distract me,” she said and was about to say something else but I captured her lips with mine.

She never has to explain herself to me at all.

I undid the seat belt and immediately put her on my lap.

In the car, there is a limit to the position one can do but we made it work.

After cleaning up she looked at me with a smile and then chuckled.

“Thank you,” she said and I just brushed a few strands of hair from her face.

“For what? For f*****g your brains out?” I asked her and she smiled at this.

“There is something else that I need you to promise me,” she said and I looked at her and nodded.

“Anything for you,” I said and she sighed as if hesitant to say what she wanted.

“Don’t beat up my grandmother,” she said and I frowned at this.

“Why would I want to beat up your grandmother? Why would I want to do such a thing to an old woman?” I asked her and she was silent for a second.

“My grandmother is the kind of a woman that is really talented at pissing people off,” she

explained.

“Just don’t get angry with her or say anything. Do you promise me that you will keep your cool no matter what she says?” she asked me and I nodded.

“Well, I am not going to do so. If she says something to piss me off I will break her old neck,” Onyx said only to me. I looked at Jade who was looking at me and then smiled.

“Not just you, you too Onyx. I need you to make me this promise,” she said and placed her hand on my chest.

She started slowly moving her hand around and kissing my neck.

She stopped and then looked at me with a smirk.

“Do you promise me Onyx?” she asked him.

“Yes, I also promise that we won’t do anything. But that’s only for today, if I am still pissed off with her tomorrow then I will break her neck,” Onyx said and I watched as Jade nodded.

“I supposed that that’s a fair deal,” she said and then sighed.

I looked at her, how annoying is this old hag that she is so stressed out about her presence there?

We got to the pack and the moment I got out of the car I saw her.

Not only that, but Sasha was holding on to her like her life depended on it.

Is she the one who called this old hag here?

“Amazing, an Alpha went out on a stroll with his mistress. Is this how things work in your pack

Dante?” the old woman asked.

“Mother, they were with me. We had something to do,” Mrs Bennett defended.

“And you, how could you even allow this to happen?” she asked her daughter.

“Can we talk about this inside? It’s a little rude of you to make a scene outside our home. And that

too in front of our pack members, you have more manners than this don’t you Mrs Hale?” My

mother asked the old woman.

“Of course,” the old hag answered and I frowned when I saw the way she looked at Jade. I

t wasn’t a look but more of a disgusted glare like she was looking at something she couldn’t stand.

I saw the pain in Jade’s eyes as if this wasn’t the first time seeing that look.

I really want to break her neck right here and now. It’s only been less than a minute but I don’t think

I will be able to stand this old hag.

We went to our rooms to freshen up since it was already late.

And then went downstairs for dinner where the whole family was there.

Now I had noticed that along with Grandmother, her uncle Anthony was there as well.

“I apologize for coming here like this, unannounced,” he said in a polite and gentle tone.

“I guess this must be important then,” My mother said.

“Yes, it is a really important matter. We want Jade back, this marriage or whatever you want to call

it needs to come to an end,” Mrs. Hale said.

“What? What did you just say?” I asked her and she nodded at this.

“Jade was never meant to be yours. She was betrothed to someone else, this marriage should

have never happened,” Mrs Hale said and looked at her daughter.

“We can’t allow that, Jade is my daughter-in-law and she is a human being. She has her own free will,” My mother said firmly.

Mrs Hale looked at Jade and I watched as she scoffed at this.

“Free will? So you are using this free will to break your older sister’s marriage? What kind of a person are you?” Mrs Hale asked and then shook her head.

“I am sorry, I forgot that you aren’t even qualified to call you a person,” she added.

“Mother, enough! What is wrong with you? You have done enough damage, stay out of my family’s business,” Mrs Bennett said to her mother.

“Those matters concern me as well. My life is also at stake here and it’s all because of your moronic decisions,” Mrs Hale retorted.

“Or what? You would condemn everyone to death just so your daughter could achieve her puppy dog love?” Mrs Hale asked.

Her eyes then landed on Jade and she had that same look on her face as she did so.

“Anyway, I don’t think there is a man in his right mind who would want kids that come from that thing,” she said pointing at Jade.

The venom in her voice was clear and I looked at Jade whose eyes were now filled with tears.

I was about to get up but Jade shook her head.

“You promised,” she muttered and I tried to contain my anger.

I could feel how angry Onyx was and he was just about to explode.

two hearts that are connected,” I said and she scoffed.

“You feel that way now but for how long? How will you feel once you see her true face?” she asked
