Chapter 122: Sorry
Sasha’s pov
“What do you say? Want my help to steal from your sister once again?” he asked me and I looked
at him.
“The person you want is Jade, correct?” I asked him and he nodded.
“Then why not just kill Dante? I mean he is the one on your way. Why not kill him and then take
Jade?” I asked him and he smiled at this.
“You are smart aren’t you?” he asked and then sighed as he looked up.
“Because, if he dies then Jade will remember everything,” he answered and I looked at him
confused.
“You see, the three of us go a long way back. Jade or you could say Sienna back then was meant to marry me. But an incident caused her to be married to the Alpha Prince back then,” he said and
then scoffed.
“I wanted to help her run away with me. So we could go and live our lives far away from everyone,”
he said and then sighed.
“But she told me that she was in love with the Alpha Prince. In love with our enemy, can you believe
it?” he asked me.
I looked at him and I could see the hate in his eyes as he said all of this.
“Wait, when was all of this? Dante isn’t an Alpha Prince but just a normal Alpha,” I pointed out.
He then went on to tell me this really long story about what happened years ago.
Apparently, Jade and Dante have been reincarnated once again.
“This is the last chance I have to separate them. I have tried for the past few years to separate them, sometimes it worked but sometimes it didn’t. And my main objective is to have Jade all to
myself,” he added and then looked at me.
“You understand how I feel right?” he asked me.
I didn’t answer him but just sat there processing everything.
You are telling me that this whole time I am the villain?
I thought I found another reason to hate Jade but it turns out I don’t even have the right to do so.
<Chapter 122. Sorry
Does Mom know about all of this?
Come to think of it, when I proposed this marriage she refused right away.
But then suddenly changed her mind for some reason.
I am not blind, I can see that our mother prefers Jade to all her kids.
Even when Jade was gone, on her birthdays she would throw a little celebration.
She would personally clean Jade’s room as if waiting for her to come back.
It was like she was trying to connect to her daughter by cleaning her room.
When I was training under Mom, she was always so distant as if a complete stranger.
But when she started training Jade, I could see a glint of light in her eyes.
Even as they were fighting, and constantly argued about things.
You could see how my mother suddenly came to life as if she found a new purpose in life.
The truth I know for certain is that we can’t control who we love and who we hate.
Growing up I also couldn’t understand why I hated my younger sister.
You could hear people say how family should love each other.
Claim
I always hated that, because why should we have to love each other just because we share blood?
I was obviously prettier than Jade and yet people would gravitate towards her instead of me.
The middle child is the forgotten child, that is how it normally is but not in my family.
Not if the forgotten child is someone as remarkable as Jade.
“I will give you time to think about it,” he said and then disappeared out of nowhere.
I couldn’t understand why he would suddenly disappear like that but then I heard the door open.
I watched as Jade and Dante got out and started looking around.
Their eyes landed on me and they weren’t even ashamed.
They were still holding hands, not even one of them attempted to let go of the other go.
I looked at Jade and I smiled when I realized how right she was back then.
The day she spoke about how the mate bond is nothing but a curse to other people.
She hated the mate bond back then, I thought she was being dramatic back then.

I mean, I thought that I had found my mate, someone who would never leave my side.
But now looking at them I realize that she was right.
The mate bond is nothing but a curse, it took everything away from me.
I know that maybe I am the cause of it all now that I think about it.
I bought myself all this pain and heartache because of what I did back then.
Had I not been jealous of Jade, then I would have never done what I did back.
Then I wouldn’t have had my heart broken the way it had been.
“Are you okay? You are sitting alone in the dark,” Jade said and I looked at her and nodded.
“I just found out something sister,” I said and she looked at me confused.
“That man, that madman was here a few minutes ago. He told me everything that happened,
everything he did to you and Dante,” I said and closed my eyes.
I tried to stop myself from sobbing and Jade looked at me surprised.
“I was never Dante’s mate, he manipulated everything,” I said and Jade looked at me surprised.
“Did
you see who he is?” she asked me and I nodded.
“But I have never seen him before. He is a stranger,” I answered and Jade nodded.
Claim
“What did he want from you?” Dante asked me and I sighed. “He was asking me if I could help him with destroying the two of you,” I answered and they looked at each.
I could see that Dante was a little skeptical as he looked at me.
“I don’t expect you to trust me, not after everything I did,” I said and they didn’t say anything.
“But I learned something interesting, I think you would be happy to hear this,” I said to them and
they looked at me curiously.
“He can’t kill you, Dante, if he kills you then Jade will regain some memories from a long time ago,” I explained to them.
“Okay, that answers that one question but there is another question that I need to ask you. Why are you suddenly helping us?” Dante asked me.
I looked at Jade, my beautiful little sister, and realized that she had struggled a lot in life.
“Because, all this time I have been calling Jade a thief when the biggest thief was me. I am really sorry about that,” I said and then sighed.

I got up from the ground and then looked up at the stars.
“I want to set things right before I go,” I said and they looked at each other surprised.
“Go?” they asked me at the same time and I nodded.
“Well, I was staying back because I believed you and I are mates. But I am not even your mate, but I would like to ask you a little something,” I said and they nodded at this.
“Can I stay here for a week, I will be trying to figure out where to go. I think I will travel for some time and just arrange my thoughts,” I said and Dante looked at Jade.
They both nodded and I smiled at this.
“Thank you, and I am really sorry for everything I did,” I said and then walked to my bedroom.
My eyes landed on the picture that was on the wall.
A picture of me and Dante on our wedding day and I smiled and realized I made the right decision.
I walked to the balcony and a few seconds later the so-called madman appeared.
“Should I be grateful that you didn’t tell them who I am?” he asked me and I smiled.
“No, but you should be grateful that I managed to fool those two,” I said and he looked at me
confused.
“What? What are you saying?” he asked me and I nodded.
“You want Jade and I want Dante, how about we work together to get them? I bought you a week, it will be enough,” I said and he smirked as he looked at me.
“You are more dangerous than I thought,” he said and I just shrugged at this.
“Jade says that you are powerful, I want you to help me get pregnant with Dante’s child,” I said and he looked at me with a smile on his face.
“And since you can’t kill Dante, I know one person you can kill to get your way. If we do this right, then Jade will walk away all on her own,” I explained.
What? Were you really expecting me to walk away like that?
I started this whole thing, so I am going to finish it.
If I am going to steal, then I should do it the right way, right?
