Jade’s pov

I looked at Dante and he was just as surprised as I was.

How did my sister suddenly change just like that?

“Do you think that we should believe her?” Dante asked me and I sighed.

“I don’t know, if I am being honest with you I really don’t know,” I answered and he looked at me.

My sister, maybe finding out that I have never wronged her made her realize how terrible she has

We went to bed and for the next few days, things were quiet.

It felt like the calmness before the storm, everything was just peaceful.

The sun was shining bright, the weather was warm and the birds were singing.

“I have something to do, go to bed and I will join you in an hour,” Dante said and I nodded.

I went to bed and I couldn’t help but overthink as I was in bed.

Sasha has been polite and sweet for the past few days.

I know that she asked to stay for a week until she can sort out things but I want her to leave right

away.

For some reason, this side of her scares me even more than the other side of her.

I opened my eyes and looked around and Dante still wasn’t in the room.

He said it would only take an hour and it seems like about 4 hours have gone by since he said.

I got off the bed and walked to his office to find out what was going on.

I didn’t knock since it was already very late at night and I didn’t want to wake up the others.

I froze the moment my eyes landed on the couch.

Sleeping there completely naked and in each other’s arms was Dante and Sasha.

“What is going on here?” I asked.

Dante opened his eyes and he looked at me and smiled.

When he noticed I wasn’t smiling he started looking around and his eyes widened as he looked at a

naked Sasha all over him.

“What the hell is going on here?” he asked and pushed her off the couch.

“What the f**k did you do to me?” Dante asked as he held her neck.

“I am so sorry,” Sasha suddenly said sobbing and I just stood there frozen.

“I will be leaving soon, and I just wanted to be with you one last time,” she answered in between her

sobs.

“I would never touch you again, not in my right mind,” Dante said and Sasha nodded.

“You were not in your right mind. I used a drug, you thought I was Jade the whole time,” she explained.

Dante’s eyes landed on me and I could see the regret and guilt in his eyes as he looked at me.

“Get dressed and leave,” I said to Sasha who nodded at this.

She took her dress that was on the ground and quickly got dressed.

She looked at me, held my hand, and started sobbing once again.

“I am so sorry, I got selfish again and only thought of myself. But I hope you understand, just consider this as my last hurrah. I will be leaving soon, I will never bother the two of you again,” she

said and then ran off.

The moment she closed the door behind her, Dante got on his knees and looked up at me.

“I don’t understand what happened, everything is just so foggy,” he said and held his hair in

frustration.

“She came here saying that she wanted to officially step down as the Luna. I honestly don’t remember what happened after,” Dante added.

I looked around the room and my eyes landed on a candle that was burning in the office.

I walked towards it and put it out before looking at it.

The magic in this candle isn’t the kind of magic that my sister could do.

This magic, the dark aura inside it, no wonder he doesn’t remember what happened.

I bet the whole time he thought that he was sleeping with me.

So, all those words and everything she said was nothing but an act.

“I know that, and I mean this wasn’t the first time you slept with Sasha. And this time she actually

used magic to do so. I understand,” I said with a smile.

His eyes told me that he didn’t believe my fake smile but he nodded either way.

He took about an hour in the shower and when he came back his entire body was red.

It was as if he was scrubbing at his body non-stop.

“It was all an act,” I said and Dante looked at me confused.

“My sister, she was never on our side again. She hasn’t repented at all. It was all a plan to get us to get our guards down,” I told him and he frowned.

“I am going to kill her,” he said getting up but I held his hand.

“No, she said that she did everything because it was her last hurrah. All that, just so she could have s*x with you. She is up to something else,” I said and Dante looked at me confused.

“She is leaving tomorrow, what else could she possibly be up to?” he asked me and I couldn’t

answer that question.

The only way to know what she is planning is to think like her and I don’t think I can do that.
