I opened my eyes and looked around the room.

That wasn’t normal at all, the way I slept through the night like that.

I couldn’t hear a thing, it’s like I woke up from death.

Jade’s side of the bed was still clean as if she didn’t even come to bed.

No, I am just overthinking all of this.

Maybe she woke up early to go for a run like she used to.

I tried telling myself everything I could master but one thing remained a fact.

I was still glued to my bed because I was scared of confirming something that I already knew.

She is gone, isn’t she?

I got off the bed and looked around the room.

She took most of her stuff and left a few clothes behind.

I got changed, got my car keys, and headed downstairs.

As I walked downstairs all eyes landed on me and I looked at Addison who was on the ground.

She looked up with tears in her eyes and just started sobbing once again.

“I tried to stop her, I thought that I could stop her but she wasn’t even listening to me,” she said in

between sobs.

“Felix and Piers, I want you to look for her. Have every tracker we have to track her down and tell me when they find her,” I said as I was heading out.

“And where are you?” Terrence asked me.

“I am going to look for her, If she contacts any of you, let me know as fast as you can,” I directed

everyone.

I turned around to leave but found Sasha standing in my way with a smile on her face.

“Why are you making things difficult for everyone?” she asked me and I looked at her confused.

“This is how it was meant to be, me with you and our little baby,” she said touching her pregnant

belly.

“The only reason you are still alive is because of that child. Otherwise, I would have broken your neck a long time ago, Jade shouldn’t have stopped me,” I said and watched as she started

chuckling.

“I don’t want your love, but I also don’t want you to give it to my little sister,” she said and I rolled my

eyes at this.

“Get to the point you b***h,” Addison said with venom in her voice.

“I am saying that you need to choose, it’s us or Jade,” she explained her hand still on her belly.

“That child might turn out to be like you. I will only accept the.child because it’s mine but I want

nothing to do with you,” I informed her and she rolled her eyes at this.

I don’t have time for this, the more time we waste the further the love of my life gets.

“Fine, if you go after Jade, then I will kill myself and this child I am carrying,” she said and I scoffed

at this.

“Go ahead and do what you want, I am going after my wife. I will bring Jade back to her home even

if it’s the last thing I do,” I retorted.

“Well then, if you are going to insist then you will have to bring her back in a body bag,” Terrence suddenly said.

Then it occurred to me that he spoke to me in a disrespectful manner a few minutes ago as well.

I looked at him and realized that his entire demeanor had changed completely as he was looking

at me.

His eyes, the hate in them took me by surprise because this isn’t like him.

“Brother, why would you say such a thing? Why would Jade come back in a body bag?” Olivia asked

her brother who scoffed.

“I am not your brother, I am simply borrowing his body for a few days,” Terrence answered and

It was as if to him I weighed less than a piece of paper.

his head.

way his eyes changed into that of a madman.

I understood why Jade gave him that nickname.

“You touched what is mine, you had the guts to touch what is mine,” he said in a low and menacing

tone.

The aura surrounding this man, it’s the kind of aura you feel when you are around people like the

Alpha King.

This isn’t the aura of an ordinary man.

I looked at him and I felt completely helpless.

There is no way I can

take him on in a fight, not in my current state.

“I like that look on your face. When you finally realize that you are nothing but a spoiled brat with a

some black smoke came out of Terrence.

He collapsed on the floor.

“Alpha, what are you still doing? Let’s go and look for Jade,” Felix said and I shook my head.

“What do you mean by that?” Addison asked me.

“He is right, let Jade go and live her life. There is nothing we can do about her. She has made her decision, going after her would only result in disaster,” I explained myself.

“What the hell did you just say? You are telling me that you got scared off by his words?” Addison

asked me.

“He was telling the truth, did he lie? We are weak and can’t protect ourselves let alone Jade. It’s futile to fight a losing battle and call off the search for Jade. Those are my orders,” I commanded

and got off my feet.
