Jade’s pov

“I am sorry for your loss,” I said to his family and turned to walk away.

“I will go and take a shower,” I said trying my best to hide the fact that I was in excruciating pain.

Suddenly someone picked me up and I frowned when I saw Alpha Dante.

“I will take you to your room,” he said and I frowned at this.

“I can walk, I am fine so put me down,” I said but he didn’t answer and just continued walking with me in his arms.

“Clean this place up, Felix and Piers, gather information about where he could have gotten that thing,” he ordered.

I looked at him and realized that his jaw was clenched and his aura was different right now.

His aura isnt that welcoming but this time it was completely different.

My eyes landed on Sasha who was looking at us.

She seemed surprised, honestly I am also surprised as well because I don’t understand what is going on.

When I got to my room he put me on the couch and I frowned as I looked at him.

“I told you I could walk, why the hell did you do that?” I asked him and he didn’t answer me.

“Go and take a shower,” he said and then walked out of the room.

I went to the bathroom and sat in the bathtub for a few minutes.

My body was still in pain, I did put in some herbs to help ease the pain.

I finished up and walked out of the bathroom.

I frowned when I found Alpha Dante sitting on the couch, his eyes were on me.

“I thought you left,” I said and he shook his head.

“You lied to me,” he said and I frowned at this.

“What are you talking about?” I asked him and he got off the couch.

His gray eyes were furious and I felt my heart beating like crazy.

Wait, I am Jade, I am not scared of anything or anyone.

He stopped walking towards me and put his hands in his pocket.

I looked at what he was wearing and realized that he changed the suit he was wearing.

I guess that one had blood when he picked me up.

I was covered in blood when he bought me upstairs because I stood so close to Ben when I

slit his throat.

“Why did you lie?” he asked me and I sighed at this.

“Because it really doesn’t matter, I still would have done it. And I hate it when people feel sorry for me,” I answered and he looked at me.

“And anyway, it doesn’t hurt that badly,” I said and he looked at me.

“You were shivering when I bought you upstairs,” he pointed and I frowned.

“Well, I feel much better now,” I said and he shook his head.

“I would feel better if I could verify that for myself,” he said and I looked at him confused.

“And how do you plan on doing that?” I asked him and he smiled at this.

He started walking towards me again, why do I feel like a deer stuck in a room with a wolf?

“You will see,” he said and his hand wrapped around my waist as he pulled me to him.

His cologne filled my nose and I looked up at him.

I found him already looking down at me and I felt my hands sweating.

What the hell is wrong with me?

I am Jade, no one scares me and nothing scares me.

I looked down, what the hell is going on?

Why do I feel like I am under a spell or something?

He put a hand under my chin and made me look up at him.

“I never want to see you in pain,” he said and lowered his face to mine.

His lips touched mine for a second.

“I will take away all the pain you are going through, even if it’s the last thing I do,” he said before he captured my lips in his.

This kiss was different, it was gentle and that wasn’t the only thing I noticed.

I could feel it, all the pain that was in my body was slowly leaving.

The more he deepened the kiss, the more I could feel all that pain leave my body.

He pulled away and he looked at me with a frown.

“And you tell me that you are okay,” he said angrier than he was before.

“f**k Jade,” he said and he stormed off and left me just standing there.

What the f**k is going on?

I feel fine, all that pain is now completely gone.

This isn’t the first time I have done something like this.

I know that the pain usually lasts for two days and sometimes three.

But now there is nothing there, he said that he will take away my pain.

All that pain started going away when he started kissing me.
