“Whatever I say can’t leave this room,” I said and she looked at me confused but nodded.

“My family, we come from a long line of royals. One of my ancestors was an Alpha Prince,” I explained and she nodded.

“So for the longest time, the royal families had special abilities,” I said and looked at her.

“I know that part, some had the ability to read minds, some could see the future and others the past,” she said and I smiled.

“But I also know that it’s been almost 2 centuries since those abilities vanished. And like you said, it was an ancestor of yours, even people whom I could say are royalty don’t have those abilities anymore,” she added.

I looked at her and found myself smiling.

She is curious and also really intelligent because she knows her history.

Not only that, but when I called the hospital she was working at for reference they spoke highly of her.

“Why are you smiling?” she asked me and I shook my head.

“Well, I also thought that those abilities were gone as well. But it seems like they have been awakened in me,” I said and she looked at me intrigued.

“You are telling me, that abilities that have been dormant for centuries have suddenly come

back?” she asked me and I nodded.

I watched as she smiled and then looked at me.

“From what I heard, those people weren’t only gifted. But they were also extremely powerful,” she pointed out her brown eyes sparking with intrigue.

“So yours is that you can take people’s pain away. Is it emotional pain or just physical pain?” she asked me.

“Both,” I answered and she sat back on her chair.

“How did you discover this power?” she asked me.

“Well, when my father left my mother she was completely distressed. They were mates, so when he broke their mate bond she was completely devastated,” I explained and she nodded.

“Wait, for you to take away my pain you had to kiss me. Does this mean that you did the same with your mother? Ew, you didn’t even know you had those abilities,” she said with a

frown.

“No, I only held her hand and her pain disappeared. Ew, no,” I said with a small smile.

“Wait, if you can take away a person’s pain by just holding their hand. Why did you kiss me then? You could have just simply held my hand,” she pointed out.

I looked at her, the truth is I didn’t want to do any of that.

The only person that knows of this is my mother only and no one else.

Not even my mate is aware of this fact.

I made a promise to my mother that I would never tell anyone about it.

It could mean a war, because with these abilities I could claim the throne as Alpha King.

I looked up at the brown eyes that made me forget everything.

I couldn’t bare to see her in pain, I saw the pain she was in.

But when I absorbed it, I realized just how pain she was truly in.

“I kissed you because I wanted to,” I answered and watched as her eyes widened.

Her cheeks started changing colour and she looked do damn cute.

“You are my wife, is it a problem If I kiss my wife?” I asked her.

She looked at me and I watched as she sighed.

“You and I don’t share that kind of relationship. All we need to do is have s*x, and no need for those other things. Kissing doesn’t make a baby, it’s purely for pleasure,” she said with a serious look.

“Anyway, when you take someone’s pain. Does it hurt you too? Or does the pain simply disappear?” she asked me and I smiled.

“I feel their pain,” I said and she frowned as she looked at me.

“You don’t need to take away my pain, from now on don’t do that again,” she said and! looked at her.

“Are you worried about me?” I asked her and she sighed.

“No, just that my pain is my pain,” she answered and I got off the chair and walked towards her.

I leaned against the desk in front of her and she looked up at me.

Her eyes landed on my hands and then back at my face.

“Can I see?” she asked me pointing at my hand.

I gave her my hand and her soft and gentle hands touched mine.

She ran her fingers inside my hand and followed the lines on my hand.

“Are you in pain right now? I know the kind of pain you absorbed from me. It can take days to go away,” she said looking up at me.

The pain disappeared a few minutes ago but she doesn’t need to know that.

“Yes, I am in excruciating pain,” I answered and she frowned.

I smiled when I realized that she was still holding my hand even though she didn’t realize it.

“Is there anything I can do?” she asked me.

That is exactly the question I was hoping she would ask me.

I went down on my knees and was now on her level.

“Kiss me,” I said and she was frozen for a second but then shook her head.

“I told you, you and I shouldn’t do things like that. Kissing doesn’t make a child and that is the only reason I am here. Not for pleasure,” she said and I smiled at this.

“Why are you smiling?” she asked me and I just shrugged.

“You said pleasure twice, which means that you feel pleasure every time I kiss you. Which means you like it,” I said and her eyes widened.

“No, it doesn’t mean that at all,” she said and I nodded as I got up.

“Okay then,” I said and turned to walk away but realized she was still holding my hand.

I turned around to look at her and watched as she got up.

“Okay, but this is the last time,” she said and I smiled at this.

I picked her up and put her on my desk. I stood between her legs and watched as her eyes landed on mine.

I leaned in towards her and stopped just before our lips could touch.

“I said that I wanted you to kiss me,” I said.

Her lips touched mine hesitantly but when I responded to the kiss she became more

confident.

My hand on her waist, I pulled her even closer to her and heard her moan as I deepened the

kiss.

Her hands holding on to my arms as I pulled her even closer.

She wrapped her legs around me, pulling me even closer.

So close that I felt like ripping off the clothes that were getting in between us.

So close I wanted to take her then and there.

I pulled away from our kiss which was a giant mistake because I heard her moan.

Why is that the most sexiest sound I have ever heard?

She opened her eyes and they landed on mine.

I watched as her eyes that were full of lust begged me to kiss her.

I started grinding on her and watched as she bit her lower lip to stop the moans.

Jade’s pov

No, what on earth am I doing?

I am not a child, I should be able to handle my emotions.

I got off the bed because I realized that it was only 12 pm.

I have been thinking about that kiss for hours now.

I quickly left the room and then headed to Alpha Dante’s office.

I found him and his two henchmen in the office talking about something.

“Can I help you?” he asked me and I nodded.

I put the documents he gave me on the table.

“I signed the contract, I would love to start working right away,” I said and he looked at me confused.

“Are you sure? I mean you can take some time to rest,” he suggested and I shook my head.

“I will rest when I am dead,” I answered and he looked at me confused but nodded.

“Piers, take her to the hospital and introduce her to the director,” Alpha Dante said and the Piers guy bowed his head.

“Yes Alpha,” he said and then gestured that we leave.

I need to work so I can distract myself from all of this.

“You don’t talk much, do you?” Piers asked me and I didn’t know what to say.

“I mean, the only time I heard you talking was when you were talking to that thing,” he added.

“Well, I had to talk to it because I had to ask questions,” I said and he smiled at this.

“So you talk only when it’s necessary?” he asked me and I just sighed.

We got to hospital and I smiled when I looked at the place.

It was big and beautiful, about two floors and really modern.

We went in and he went straight to the office that was written Director Jones.
