Dante’s pov

I looked at Jade whose eyes were on mine.

How can anyone be so perfect?

She stood there and I could tell how soft her skin must be.

I walked towards her and just as I was about to touch her a voice came to my head.

“If you sleep with her, then I am going to kill her,” my wolf Onyx said in a monotone.

I froze at my spot and looked at Jade whose eyes were on me.

“You will not turn me into a liar Dante. You and I made an oath that we wouldn’t be like your father and his treacherous wolf. I will take over and break her neck,” he added and I dropped the hand

that was about to touch her.

I took a few steps back and I watched as Jade looked at me confused.

I can’t touch her, not now at least.

I still need to make Onyx understand that we need to do this.

I looked at Jade and watched as her face was falling and she looked down.

She turned around to take her clothes and she ran to the closet.

I looked at the closed door and sighed as I sat on the couch.

“How could you do that? How could you threaten me like that?” I asked my wolf.

“I can, we have a mate that we promised to protect and be loyal to no matter what,” he answered.

I don’t understand why he needs to be so stubborn about all of this.

“I asked for your opinion when they suggested that I take a second wife,” I said to him.

“You were okay with it until now, what changed your mind?” I asked him.

“You know why I stopped you,” he answered and cut off the link without another word.

This stubborn wolf, Jade must feel really terrible.

I waited for her and she came out of the closet now completely dressed.

She was avoiding eye contact and was looking at anything but me.

“I am sorry,” I said and she just shook her head.

here for the rest of my life. A year is all I can dedicate to this,” she said and then pulled the blanket

over her head.

I sighed and laid on the couch but I felt this guilt.

Her hands were shaking as she stood there naked.

She just wanted to do it and get it over and done with.

I got off the couch and then walked towards her on the bed.

I slowly dragged the blanket that covered her face and her eyes landed on mine.

Her brown eyes were just so confused and she seemed hurt.

I guess I probably did hurt her pride a little or maybe a lot.

She stood there in front of me naked and I didn’t do anything.

I touched her face and she leaned in to my touch and closed her eyes for a second.

I leaned in and kissed her forehead before putting my forehead on hers.

“You are beautiful and sexy. You are smoking hot if I am being honest. I am just not ready for this

and I think that you also aren’t ready yet,” I said and she didn’t answer or say anything.

“Good night Alpha Dante,” she said as she closed her eyes to sleep.

I moved away from the bed and then to the couch.

I am attracted to her, seeing her naked like that nearly drove me crazy.

The things I was ready to do to her, the ways I was ready to claim her as mine.

That is why he stopped me, he could feel it as the self control left my body.

I couldn’t sleep and I could tell that neither was Jade because she was tossing and turning.

The next morning when I woke up she wasn’t in the room.

I heard her when she woke up to go for a run but didn’t want to make her uncomfortable.

I sat at the breakfast table and watched as she was looking at anything but me.

“So what time will Addison be getting her?” Sasha asked Jade.

“I don’t know, somewhere in the afternoon,” Jade answered.

I caught the scent of someone I don’t know and frowned.

The doors opened and a girl walked in like she owned the place.

“JADE!,” she screamed at the top of her lungs.

Jade’s eyes widened as she looked at the girl who was standing there.

“You are here, this early. What time did you wake up?” Jade asked the girl standing there.

“2 am, I couldn’t sleep at all because I wanted to see you,” she said as she ran to Jade and hugged

her.

“Look at you, you are so thin. Do they feed you here?” she asked and Jade nodded but her friend

frowned even more.

“Everyone this is my friend Addison, say hello to everyone,” she said to her friend who nodded.

“Hello, my name is Addison. It’s nice to meet you all,” she said and then sat down and started

eating.

“Addison, so how long have you been friends with Jade?” Alec asked and Addison smiled.

“For as long as I can remember, but don’t worry. I am not a buzz kill like her,” she said and Jade

rolled her eyes.

“She is a buzz kill?” Tia asked and Addison nodded.

“You haven’t noticed? I am sure when she met you, all she said was ‘I am Jade” she said mimicking

Jade.

Everyone chuckled at this because that is exactly what she did.

“You must know all the embarrassing stories about her,” Piers said and Addison chuckled.

“Yes, like that night when she snuck out to make out with Tommy,” she said and then looked at

Jade who was blushing.

“That’s enough out of you. You will be sleeping with me in my room. Alpha Dante, you will return to your room for a few days right?” Jade asked me.

But it wasn’t a question but more of a rhetorical one,

“Come on, tell us the story with Tommy,” I heard Piers say but Jade was already dragging her away.

I did some work in my office and I looked at the time and it was almost 12pm.

I should go and check on Jade.

I want to know how she is doing at work.

Yesterday I couldn’t talk to her because I got distracted by something else.

I got off my chair and walked to the Pack Clinic and then to Jade’s office.

“Is Dante gay?” I heard the friend Addison ask.

But I guess today she forgot, it’s probably because of her friend.

I turned around to walk away because it isn’t right listening in on them.

“Yes, I felt so embarrassed that I wanted to bury myself alive,” Jade said and I frowned at this.

“That i***t doesn’t even know how lucky he is. He is the first man to ever see you naked,” her friend

said and I froze in place.

“You know what, I think that you shouldn’t give him your virginity either,” she added.

“Damn, he should have bowed down to you the moment he saw you naked. You are a goddess, he was the first kiss of a goddess,” she concluded and I couldn’t believe my ears.

“I need a solution to all of this, my brother-in-law can’t be the first guy I sleep with,” I heard Jade

say.

“Yes, that’s why I am here. He is your sister’s mate and only your husband for a few months. They say that you never forget your first. He can’t be your first,” the friend supported.

Wait a second, isn’t Jade like 24 years old?
