Dante’s pov

Jade looked at me and I regretted what I just said immediately.

“I didn’t mean it like that,” I said and she looked down and didn’t say anything.

Instead, she got up from her chair and I looked at her confused.

“What are you doing?” I asked her and she shrugged with a smile.

“I am going to work, have a good day,” she said and turned to leave. I quickly got up and blocked her path.

“You haven’t eaten anything, sit down and eat,” I said and she shook her head.

“I am not that hungry,” she said and I sighed as I looked at her.

“Stop being stubborn and sit down. At least listen to my reasons for saying no,” I said and she

smiled.

She does have a point and I hate that about her.

I looked at Tia who smiled a little at me and she seemed hopeful.

I was about to go after her, “Calm down,” Onyx commanded.

I don’t like it when people I care about lie to me or don’t tell me things.

She should have told me the second she found out.

“Let her go,” Mom said and I sighed and turned my attention to everyone.

I sat down and I couldn’t touch my food after all of this.

“Jade can be really stubborn, but I understand why you are refusing.” Sasha said and I looked at

her.

She put her hand on mine and I sighed and got up.

“I have lost my appetite,” I said and went straight to my office.

“I have never seen you so angry,” Felix said as he stood at the door.

“And what’s confusing is who you are focusing your anger on,” Piers added.

“I am not in the mood for all of this,” I said and they just nodded,

“You didn’t eat,” Sasha said coming to my office with food in her hand.

She looked at Felix and Piers who just smiled at her.

And she wasn’t wrong, Tia has always listened to me.
