Jade’s pov

I opened my eyes and Dante wasn’t there.

Did he go to Sasha?

Why should I care about that?

I looked at the empty spot on the bed.

I am not the insecure type at all and I don’t have the right to be insecure.

But he told me that touching her didn’t feel right. No Jade, just stop thinking about all of this.

They are mates, I shouldn’t care about what they do at all.

I took a deep breath and decided to go back to sleep.

I closed my eyes but quickly opened them when I realized that I did care.

I wanted to know if he was lying to me or not about what he said.

I got up and as I was heading to Sasha’s room I noticed something.

So this is what is happening huh?

The person turned around and I quickly hid away so they didn’t see me.

They went inside the room and I came out of my little hiding spot.

I didn’t expect this at all, but is this what people call two birds one stone?

I turned back and when I got to my room I found Alpha Dante’ in the room.

He seemed deep in thought and I looked at him.

Something has been weighing on him for days now and I can see it.

“You are back,” I said and he looked up and nodded.

So he isn’t coming from Sasha’s room because I would have met up with him if he was.

“Are you okay?” I asked him and he just sighed at this.

“Come here,” he said and I walked to him and sat next to him.

He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.

“I am just dealing with something,” he answered.

“I saw something interesting,” I informed him.

I started telling him what I saw and he looked at me surprised.

“Are you sure?” he asked me and I nodded.

“Then let’s go now,” he said standing up but I held his hand.

“Don’t you want to know what he is plotting?” I asked him and he sighed.

“I do, and what you saw isn’t enough. It will only just stir up trouble,” he said with a sigh.

He sat back down and he looked at me.

“So what is your plan?” he asked me and I smiled.

“Stephen, I want to get closer to Stephen,” I answered and he looked at me surprised.

“I will never let that happen, there is no way I will let you get close to that jerk,” he said and I smiled.

“I don’t mean it like that,” I said and he frowned.

“I know, you want to befriend him. The answer is still no, and I wasn’t even thinking about that too. Because if that was what you meant then I would lock you up in this room,” he added and I looked

at him.

He was dead serious about locking me up in my room.

“You would really do that? I mean lock me up in my room?” I asked him and he nodded.

“And you think I will just let you?” I asked him and sighed.

“I don’t understand you, what the hell is wrong with you? Do you think that it is okay to want to

control me like that?” I asked him.

“It’s not trying to control you,” he said and I sighed.

“Let’s not talk about this, but I am going to do it. And if you don’t support me, then I will get close

to him in that way,” I said and watched as his eyes widened.

“You wouldn’t dare,” he said and I smiled as sweetly as I could.

“Try me, you have two choices. Help me in this or I do it alone,” I said firmly.

“Fine, and how do you plan on getting close to him? After that stunt during dinner, I am sure he isn’t pleased with you,” he said and I smiled.

“Well, I won’t go to him. He will come to me,” I answered and he looked at me as if trying to read my mind.

“Fine, but if he crosses his limits then I am going to kill him,” he said and I kissed his cheek.

The next morning I woke up and got ready for the day.

When I went down for breakfast everyone was already there.

“Am I sensing tensions between the Alpha and his wife?” Stephen asked with a smirk.

I just glared at Dante who frowned at this.

“Oh, I am right there is some tension here,” Stephen added with a chuckle.

“What’s wrong? Did you guys fight again?” Sasha asked looking at me.

“Again, so they fight a lot huh?” Stephen asked with a smirk.

“Of course, they fight, Jade thinks that she is better than everyone,” Vanessa commented.

“Actually, you aren’t wrong at all. She does think that she is better than everyone and knows

everything,” Alpha Dante supported.

I could see that Vanessa was surprised but she smiled at this.

“Really? Like you are any better. You will not take away my freedom, not now and not ever,” I said and got up to leave.

“What the hell is your problem? You are now Mrs Odell, I will not let you go out there and drag my name through the mud,” Alpha Dante retorted.

“What is going on here? What happened?” Mrs Odell asked me and I sighed.

“Your son wants to imprison me in this place. I had plans for this weekend with some of my friends but he says I am not allowed to go,” I answered and watched how Dante sighed.

“She has plans to go to a club. And not just any club but one known to be a hot spot for all supernatural beings and she wants to go there with a ‘friend’ of hers,” Alpha Dante said

“Stop putting air quotes on the word friends. Aren’t you satisfied with what you have done? You have taken away my freedom and I am forced to look at your face all day. I will not let you control me anymore,” I retorted and then stormed off.

“Come back here! I am still talking to you,” Alpha Dante yelled as I left the mansion for work.

I got to my office and the moment I opened the door someone pulled me inside.

“That was a great act, do you think he bought it?” Alpha Dante asked me and I nodded.

I think he did, but what are you doing here? We will get caught,” I said and he leaned in.

Sorry I missed updates for the last two days. I had a lot going on here and i couldn’t find the time to write. Here is a chapter, i am still very busy but i will try to update another chapter later on today to make up for the missed days.
