Jade’s pov

I told Dante everything that Stephen said and I watched how he frowned.

“What if he has a way to really free you?” Dante suddenly asked me and I looked at him confused.

“What if he has a plan to help you and it works, will you help him?” he asked me.

“Will you leave me?” he asked me and I looked at him confused.

Why would he ask me such a question?

Will I leave him?

He is asking as if he doesn’t want me to leave.

I enjoy being around him, but I am not here to stay forever.

I can’t stay here forever, the guilt will always eat me alive.

The guilt that I am taking away my sister’s happiness.

The guilt that I would put her in a situation where she has to share her mate with me.

The guilt that she would never be his legal wife but me.

I looked at Dante, everything about him told me to say no.

“No, I wouldn’t betray you like that. Plus, he can never be a good Alpha. I would never help him in

such things,” I answered him.

He nodded and I thought of an idea and looked at Dante.

“You have that smile, what is your idea?” he asked me.

“Well, I was thinking that maybe we could use what he said against him,” I said and Dante gestured

that I explain.

“Think about it, what if you casually mentioned that we are legally married,” I said and he frowned.

“We are, everyone knows that you are Mrs. Dante,” he pointed out.

“Exactly, so just point out the fact that the reason we got married would never be null and void,” I

explained and he smiled.

“So, you want me to tell him that you aren’t going anywhere?” he asked me and I nodded.

“I think I can do it,” he said and started slowly kissing my neck.

“I can even shout it from the rooftop,” he said and I smiled.

“You are my wife, Jade Odell,” he added and I found myself blushing at this.

I don’t think I have ever really sat down and processed everything.

But this handsome man is my husband.

I looked at him and at the dark purple suit, he was wearing and found myself smiling.

“You should dress more casually as well,” I said and he looked at me surprised.

“Why? Do you like seeing me in jeans?” he asked me and I nodded.

“You look really good in jeans,” I said and watched how he smiled.

“I don’t look good in suits?” he asked and I just shrugged.

“I have seen better,” I answered and looked away while he chuckled.

“How about this? I can do that if you wear dresses more,” he said and I looked at him confused.

“Why dresses?” I asked him and he looked at my thighs.

“Because these pants get in the way of things,” he said and then winked at the end.

way of things, what things?” I asked while biting my lower lip and he smiled.

He was about to kiss me when I suddenly received a call.

“You are planning something aren’t you?” Addison asked me.

“What are you talking about?” I asked her and heard her scoff.

“Tell Dante to stay there, we are coming,” she said and then hung up.

“What does she mean by we?” Dante asked and I just shrugged.

About 10 minutes later there was a knock on the door.

I opened the door and found Addison standing there with Felix and Piers.

“What are they doing here?” I asked her.

She pushed me out of the way and the three of them walked in.

“What is going on here?” Dante asked them.

“We want in on your plan to get rid of Stephen,” Felix said and I looked at Dante.

“What plan?” he asked them and they just scoffed looking at each other.

“The other day you couldn’t stop grinning like an i***t. And then you two suddenly fight over something that stupid?” Piers asked.

“Not only that, the excuse of going out with friends to a hot spot,” Addison said looking at me.

“I have other friends” I retorted and she nodded.

“But you would rather have tea with them and maybe a late-night dinner. I had to drag you to the

club the last time,” Addison added,

“And you defended him last night, it’s hard to think that today you would suddenly hate him,” Piers

pointed out.

I watched as they all sat down and I could tell there was no other way to make them stop.

“Fine, we will let you in on the plan,” Dante said and I nodded.

I looked at Addison and an idea came to mind.

“It’s a good thing you are here, I will really need you on this plan,” I said to Addison and she smiled.

“How can I help?” she asked me.

“First we should fill you in on what we know,” Dante said and I nodded.

He told them everything that I saw last night and what I suspect and also our plan.

They all just sat there listening and I watched as Piers glanced in my direction.

“You came up with this plan?” he asked me and I nodded.

“Remind me to never cross you then. I mean it is so perfect, he won’t even see it coming,” Piers

said.

“I still can’t believe that Stephen did that. Put a person’s life at risk for his own benefit, we should

take him down,” Felix said with a frown.

“And this time, I will make him sure his acts are revealed that way I can banish him,” Dante said and

then looked at me.

“This time I know I can expose him,” he said and then held my hand.

It was as if he was telling me that he would be able to do it because I was there.

“f**k, he is coming again this way,” Dante said and I looked at everyone.

“I actually have a plan, let’s do it now,” I said and they all nodded.

I told them the plan and Felix went and opened the door.

“Your friend cannot tell her what to do, he doesn’t own her,” Addison started.

Felix said and winked at Addison.

“I am sorry, did you just say embarrass? Is that it Dante? Do I embarrasss you?” I asked Dante who

sighed.

“I never said that, I just said that you should think of my reputation. You are my wife,” he answered.

“Wife? Stop saying that word, I didn’t want this marriage and I know that you didn’t either,” I said.

“Someone is coming, we will talk about this later,” Dante said and winked at me.

He got up and just as he was about to leave Stephen stood at the door.

“Am I standing in your way?” Stephen asked with an amused smile.

I looked at him, he wears dress pants and golf shirts.

He also seems to like light color which is ironic because he is anything but.

That is what most people do, we are told that the devil is this ugly-looking monster.

But, evidence shows that he might be as handsome as the Greek gods.

The best way to deceive people is to appear to be kind and loving.

This is usually done with clothing, but I will know for certain once I see how he interacts with

people.

“Get out of my way,” Dante said Stephen just chuckled as he opened the way.

“And what do you want here?” Addison asked.

I watched as the other two guys glared down at Stephen as they left the room.

“I mean no harm, I am someone you can trust,” Stephen said.

“Usually people who say that can’t be trusted,” Addison pointed out.

“That is true, but I am prepared to earn your and your friend’s trust,” Stephen said.

Addison looked at me and I nodded and since Stephen couldn’t see her face she winked.

She then just walked off as well without another word.

“What are you doing here?” I asked Stephen.

“I came to see you. It’s lunchtime, right? How about we go for a walk?” he asked me.
