Chapter 73: Punishment
Jade’s pov
“I don’t know what they are talking about,” I said and then sighed.
“I did nothing wrong,” I added and watched how they all looked at me.

“Fine, if you did nothing then you wouldn’t mind if we searched your room,” Vanessa and I shook my head.
“That’s not happening, I am not the only witch here. If you are going to search my room then search the other rooms first,” I said firmly.
I then looked at Stephen who was busy observing everything and he came to my side.
“It’s not Jade, someone is obviously trying to frame her,” he said and then glared at Vanessa.
“Everyone calm down, all of this is a mess. My son is sick, we need to help him,” Mrs Odell said.
“The only way to help him is if we find the poison that was used on him. Then we can find an
antidote,” Sasha said.
“Search Jade’s room now,” Alpha Dante commanded and a few omegas ran to my room.
Everyone was just looking at me, some with disgust and some with confusion.
“I found something in her room,” another omega said running down the stairs with something in
her hands.
I looked at the green liquid and then scoffed at what I was looking at.
“Is it the poison?” Mrs Odell asked looking at Sasha who nodded.
“Yes, that’s it,” Sasha said and then started writing a few things down.
“I will need this to make an antidote,” she said as she handed Dante the list.
“Can you even make an antidote?” Addison asked her and Sasha just glared at her before looking
at me.
“Jade, do you have anything to say for yourself? This was found in your room,” she said.
“What else can I say? It seems like everyone has decided that it is my fault,” I retorted.
“Your mother is here, we will talk about this once she gets here,” Dante said.
And a few seconds later, Mother stood at the door and looked around the room.

Her green eyes scanned the room and she frowned.
“Am I here at the wrong time?” she asked.

“Actually you are right on time. Your daughter Jade poisoned my son and is trying to kill him,” Mrs
Odell said.
She looked at me and I watched how conflicted she seemed.
“I don’t know what is going on. It looks like Jade did it, but I don’t think she did,” she suddenly
added.
Everyone looked at her surprised and my mother looked at me.
“Jade didn’t do,” she stated firmly and I looked at her confused.
“I could have done,” I said and she rolled as her and sighed.
“It isn’t Jade, poison is a method used by the weak,” Mother added.
I knew calling her here today was a good idea.
And she came just in time, there is only one person in this world who can make anyone feel extremely small and that is her.
I must say, she has a talent in making people feel like they are nothing.
“A weak person, but the poison was found in your daughter’s room,” Felix said.
She walked towards the poison they showed her and watched how she frowned.
“So mediocre, the consistency is terrible. Look at that, this person didn’t even mix it well. I taught my daughter better than that,” she said shaking her head.
“Trust me, I can say with certainty that Jade didn’t do this,” she said and then looked at me.
“Are you going to take credit for such mediocre work?” she asked me.
“I wasn’t, everyone was saying I did it. But looking at it now, I am more offended that they would think I would make such rubbish,” I answered her.
“You could make better poison when you were 10. This couldn’t even kill a rat, let alone a werewolf,
“mother added.
“Whoever did this should be ashamed. Does this person consider themselves to be a witch? Gosh, a five-year-old would do a much better job,” she added.
I watched how she looked at me and then smiled.

She has caught on, one thing I love about her is that she is very fast.
“I would die of shame if this was my work,” she continued on her rant.
“Enough!” Vanesssa suddenly yelled.

“You two think you are the best, don’t you? This poison is perfect, I spent hours on it. How can you
stand there and call it mediocre?” she asked.
“Because it is,” Mother and I answered at the same time.
The room went silent as everyone caught on.
“Wait, you made this poison?” Sasha asked her best friend.
I watched as Vanessa covered her mouth but the truth was already out.
Covering her mouth at this point was pointless.
“Talk right now, why would you do this to my son?” Mrs Odell asked Vanessa.
Vanessa looked around the room but no one was stepping up to help.
“No, I didn’t make it. It was Jade,” Vanessa said pointing at me.
“Jade slept in my room all night long. How could she have had time to make it?” Addison asked
her.
“And I would never make something so mediocre,” I added.
Vanessa looked at her best friend as if she was asking to be saved but Sasha took a few steps.
away from her.
“Why would you do this?” she asked her.
“I did it for you. Jade like taking everything away from you. You heard what she said last night. She is going to marry Stephen,” Vanessa said.
“Then why not try to kill me? Why go after poor Nick?” I asked her.
I watched how she looked around and kept trying to find some kind of reason.
She closed and opened her mouth like a fish but couldn’t come up with an answer.
I shook my head at this and then looked at Stephen.
“She was going to ruin, you want me to trust you right? Then prove it to me, prove to me that you
can protect me,” I said to him.
He looked at Vanessa and then nodded.

“Guards, come and kick her out of here,” he said and I smiled at this.
Vanessa’s eyes were wide as she stared at him.
“You leave and never come back,” he said and I looked at Dante.
“No, that’s not enough. She almost killed my brother, letting her go would be an unfair punishment.
Nick could have died,” Dante said.
“I want her to be banished from her coven. Make her a rouge,” Dante added and then smiled as he
looked at Stephen.
I moved away from Stephen with a frown.
“You call yourself an Alpha and you can’t even hand out punishment,” I said looking at Stephen.
“Had she succeeded in framing me then I would be gone. And this is your idea of a punishment?” I
asked him.
Stephen looked around the room and he then looked at Vanessa.
“No, you are right. Her punishment should be great, she wanted to frame my Luna and my future wife-to-be. Not only that, but wanted to kill my cousin, I say her punishment is death,” Stephen said
with his head held high.
“What the f**k did you just say?” Vanessa asked glaring at Stephen.
“Take her away,” Stephen said firmly and I watched as Vanessa scoffed a little at this.
“If they are going to drag me away then you should join me as well. After all, you and I are partners in crime,” Vanessa said.
I scoffed at this, “Really? You are trying to bring him down with you? Everyone here knows that you are nothing but a liar. Just walk away,” I said and then walked towards Stephen.
“Let’s get out of here. I don’t understand why she is trying to drag you down with her,” I said.
“I am telling the truth, I know him better than anyone. Tell them, tell them how we have been f*****g for months now. Tell them all the things I did for you. If you I am going down then you are coming down with me,” Vanessa yelled at the top of her lungs.
“How does the two of you sleeping together involve us? You almost killed someone,” Felix pointed
out.
“And he is also the reason someone died,” Vanessa retorted pointing at Stephen.
Why didn’t I bring some popcorn?
