Chapter 78: Siblings
Dante’s pov
I sat back down and sighed. It’s better if she leaves.
I don’t want her or anyone to see me like this.

“Fine, but please tell me where you will be staying. I need to pick you up late on Sunday,” I said and
there was silence.
I heard a few footsteps headed for the door.
I am an Alpha, why am I getting so emotional?
I was angry when I heard her tell Sasha that she would leave.
But now I feel something else, I feel extreme despair and sadness.
And seeing that man made this even worse.
I listened carefully and realized that she hadn’t opened the door.
I looked up so I could see what she was still doing.
Her eyes were on me and I tried avoiding eye contact but it was too late.
“Are you crying?” she asked me and I shook my head.
“I am an Alpha, I don’t cry,” I answered and she was quiet for a second.
I heard footsteps again and this time they were coming in my direction.
“You said you are leaving, so go,” I said but she didn’t listen.
She kept walking towards me until she stopped in front of me.
She went down on her knees and her eyes landed on mine.
“How can I leave when you are hurting like this?” she asked me.
She placed both her hands on both sides of my face.
“Is that why you are angry with me? Because you heard me say that I would leave?” she asked me.
I didn’t answer and I watched as she sighed.
“I said that because I thought that is what you wanted. I mean it is what we agreed on,” she stated. “You agreed on it, I didn’t agree on it. I made it clear that if you want to stay in this marriage forever

then you can,” I answered.
“Is that what you want? For me to stay in this marriage, with you forever?” she asked me.
“Yes, that is what I want,” I answered and watched how she smiled.
She wiped my tears away and then sighed.
I watched how she got up and sat on my lap before kissing my forehead.
“Then why not tell me?” she asked me.
I looked at her, her brown eyes filled with tears as well.

“I will do anything for you, anything you want me to do. I will stay with you, I won’t leave. I will stay
with you forever,” she added.
“What? You will?” I asked her and she nodded with a smile.
“Yes, you are my husband are you not? We might not have made official vows. But the moment I signed those papers it was for life,” she answered.
I looked down, I tormented myself all day when I could have done was talk to her.
f**k, I bet she even thinks little of me because I cried in front of her.
I know it was only a few tears but I cried.
“So, the big bad Alpha can be vulnerable?” she asked me with a smile.
“It was a one-time thing. It’s just seeing that man also pushed me to the edge,” I explained and she
nodded.
“Can I ask you something? Your father when he left did he cut ties with you completely? He didn’t try to reach out or something like that?” she asked me.
“He did, even today he still sends birthday presents and Christmas presents,” I answered and she
nodded.
“I get that he left you and you felt rejected. But it seemed like he really loves and cares about you,”
she explained.
“I don’t care,” I answered and she nodded and sighed.
“But I do, I care about you and this seems to be hurting you,” she said her eyes never leaving mine.
It felt like she was trying to look into my soul.
It’s already embarrassing that I cried in front of her and now she wants to dig up something.

“You know, in the human world, parents get divorced all the time. But they still co-parent,” she
pointed out.
“Yes, in the human world. We are not human,” I retorted and she smiled.
“We are silly, we are just supernatural. But we feel hate, love, and rejection the same way they do,”
she explained.
“What are you trying to say?” I asked her and she just sighed.
“Just that I think you should try making up with your father. Give him a chance, he seems like a
good man,” she answered.
I was about to say something and then her stomach grumbled.
“We should get some food inside you,” I said and she nodded.
“Wash your face first,” she advised and I walked to the bathroom.
My eyes landed on the man in the mirror.
I didn’t cry when my father left me.
I didn’t cry when I found out that my mate could never give me kids.
But the thought of losing that woman made me cry.
I just wanted to die, I hated just thinking of living life without her.
Just the thought of not seeing her face and hearing her voice.
That life, that future seemed dull and frankly painful.
I washed my face and when I came out she hugged me.
I watched as she tiptoed to kiss me and then smiled after.
We walked hand in hand downstairs to have some dinner.,
I frowned when I caught their scent and then looked at Jade.
She was looking forward to eating and I can’t let him ruin this for me.
We walked into the restaurant and as we sat down he walked towards us.
“Will you please join us for dinner?” he asked looking at me.
“We would love that,” Jade said getting up and I looked at her confused.
She didn’t even look back at me and went to sit at their table.

That woman was there and their two kids.
His new family was there, I looked at Jade who is also my new family.
I sighed and got up and sat down with them as well.
“Hello Dante, how have you been?” Taylor asked me and I didn’t answer.
“Answer the nice lady, Dante,” Jade said with a tight smile.
“I have been well,” I answered and she smiled and looked at Jade.
“I am Taylor, and these are my kids, Grace and Jordan,” she said pointing at the two kids.
The boy looked like me when I was young, he is obviously related to me.

“Hi, I am Jordan. And you must be our big brother, Dante. I have been wanting to meet you for a
long time,” the boy said.
“Yes big brother, is this your wife?” the girl asked.
“Yes, so I am your sister-in-law Jade. You two are very cute by the way,” Jade said as she looked at
them.
“You said you are his wife?” Taylor asked Jade who nodded.
“Not his mate, so you are the younger sister?” Dad asked her and she nodded.
“So you know,” I stated and watched how he nodded.
“I try to keep up with what is happening with you,” he answered and I just rolled my eyes.
They took our orders and everyone just sat there in silence.
Even the kids could tell that everything was not okay here.
“How is everyone back at home?” Dad said breaking the silence.
“Which home? Your first or second, and which one are we? Your second?” I asked him.
“Everyone is fine, Tia just found her mate a few weeks ago. He is human,” Jade informed him.
“Really? I am surprised Dante agreed, you let her mate with a human?” he asked me.
“It was all Jade, she found a way around it,” I answered and he nodded.
“Not only that, but we managed to get rid of Stephen once and for all,” Jade added.
She hardly talks much when she is around strangers but here she is telling this man everything.
Slowly the conversation started warming up and everyone except me started talking.

The food arrived and I looked at my mate who had this infectious smile on her face.
“Daddy, I want to meet my other siblings,” Jordan suddenly said.
“You will meet them someday,” Dad answered and I looked at him.
“Someday, how about next week?” Jade asked.
I looked at her confused and surprised and so was everyone.
“Really? I can meet them next week?” Jordan asked and Jade nodded.

“Yes, I mean we will make a few arrangements. And for now, only you two and your Dad can come,”
she said and then looked at the elders who nodded.
“Are you sure that is okay?” Taylor asked and Jade looked at me.
“It’s fine,” I answered as we finished up with dinner.
Is this a good idea?
How will everyone react to this?
How will my Mom react to this news?
