Jade’s pov

“Sister? You want to ruin my life and yet you still have the guts to call me sister,” Sasha said.

I watched as she scoffed and she looked at me.

“I won’t let you ruin my life and take everything away from me,” she yelled and I looked at her.

“You always do this, you always try to take away things from me. But this time I won’t spare you,”

she said and I looked at her confused.

“I always take things away from you. What the hell are you talking about?” I asked her.

“You took away my position as coven leader. You took away the spotlight that was meant for me. You took away My mom’s love and Jay’s love as well. Everyone dotted and loved Jade. You stole my destiny,” she added.

“What the hell? Our family had enough love to give both of us. If you weren’t so focused on the love I was getting then you would have felt the love they were giving you,” I retorted.

She focused on my blessings that she forgot to count hers.

That is what a lot of people do in life, we look at what others have that we don’t and we forget to

count our blessings.

And because of that, we miss out on important things and always remain unhappy.

If you constantly focus on what you don’t have, you will never be happy.

“If you were not lazy, had you actually trained and were actually a good person then I would have never been made the coven leader,” I said and then sighed.

“You were lazy and selfish. You always are selfish and I am guessing everyone sensed that. The only person you have to blame for all of this is yourself,” I added.

I watched how her eyes widened and she was about to say something but stopped.

“Am I interrupting?” Mrs Odell said standing at the door and I shook my head.

“No, is everything okay?” I asked her and she nodded.

“I am sorry, I decided on something without consulting you. I didn’t even think about how you

would feel,” I said.

She walked towards me and suddenly hugged me.

“Thank you,” she said and when she pulled away I saw tears in her eyes.

“Dante wouldn’t even let me talk about his father. The name alone would make him so angry, but you got him to agree to let him visit,” she said with a smile.

“He is playing with his siblings and my kids are reconnecting with their father,” she added.

“So you are not angry?” I asked her and she shook her head.

“It hurt me when he left me and chose that other woman instead of me. But Daniel gave me the

four most precious gifts in the world. How can I hate someone like that?” she asked me.

“I am glad that he came. I have been trying to tell Dante that he should make peace with his father,”

Sasha said.

I looked at her and I found myself smiling.

She just said that I always take everything away from her but she always does this.

She always acted like certain things were her idea and would take credit for it.

I always tried to undermine

my own achievements so she doesn’t feel left out.

I always felt guilty over that one thing that she believes I stole from her that I let her take

everything away from me.

But I guess even now I can’t hate her either because her greed got me here.

I know it is wrong to say, but Dante is the most precious thing to ever happen to me.

And my sister gave me that gift, I guess I have to thank her for that.

Actually, that is just another thing that I don’t seem to understand at all.

This is wrong, having feelings for your

“Well, I am grateful to you as well Sasha,” Mrs Odell said.

She then looked at me and held both my hands.

“You are the best thing that has ever happened to this family. What you did for Tia and what you are now doing for the whole family. Thank you, not only that but also for agreeing to marry Dante,”

she said and kissed both my

hands.

“Thank you,” she said and I looked down a little overwhelmed.

I have done a lot of great things, I have defeated dangerous people and risked my life to protect

others.

I can tell she meant it, and I didn’t even do anything much.

“Dinner is almost ready. Make sure you freshen up,” she added and then walked off.

I watched how my sister’s gentle smile dropped the moment Rose left the room.

“Look at that, that is what you wanted right?” she asked me and I sighed.

“Stop wasting your time on me. You said that I always take everything away from you. Then don’t act so surprised, I am doing what I always do,” I said.

“What’s happening here?” Dante asked and his eyes were on Sasha.

“Nothing, we were just talking,” Sasha answered and Dante looked at me.

“Then why does Jade seem so angry if you were just talking?” he asked her.

Sasha looked at me and I could tell she was a little speechless.

“One thing I will not let you do is disrupt the peace. Whatever objections you have about Jade tell them to me,” he said.

“I don’t have anything against Jade, she is my sister,” Sasha answered and then looked at Dante.

“But how about you Dante? Is that how you talk to your mate and Luna?” she asked him.

“I have already told you my opinion on that. I am going to take a shower, Jade are you coming?” he asked me and then walked off.

I looked at Sasha and I could see the pain in her eyes.

She is my sister, I should feel sorry for her despite everything she did.

I should feel guilty that I am going to join her mate in the shower and probably have shower s*x.

But I don’t feel that way at all.
