Chapter 96: Piers’s mate

Jade’s pov

I sat down after hours and hours of standing.

I looked at the time and it was almost time for lunch.

Dante promised me that he would come here so we could have lunch together.

But after what happened with Mrs Jones I wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t.

There was a knock on the door and before I could say anything the door opened.

Addison stood there with Piers and they both smiled at me.

“I have something to tell you,” Piers said and I watched as they sat down.

added and watched as Dante looked at me confused.

“The girl is Alpha Lewis’s younger sister. You are such a good man and a good friend. You would bury your pride for the sake of a friend, I am so proud that I am your wife,” I explained and winked

at Piers.

I watched how he smiled as he looked at me.

I could see the sorry leave his face and he got up and then looked at Dante.

“Did I forget to mention that? Sorry,” he said and they left the room.

“You don’t have to sweet talk me. I would never do anything to hurt Piers, he has stood by me through thick and thin,” he said and then sat down.

We had lunch and after work, I quickly walked as fast as I could so I could make it to the meeting.

“I see you are still cocky as always,” I heard Dante say.

I walked in and his eyes landed on me and I watched how he forced a smile as he looked at Alpha

Lewis.

“I meant I see you are still as confident as always,” he corrected.
