Margaret felt deeply uncomfortable under his gaze. “Perhaps we could start with introductions? I’m Margaret Campbell. What are your names?”
Cyan glanced cautiously at Theodore. Receiving no reaction, he said, “I am Cyan. As for my master, you’re not worthy to know.”
Margaret couldn’t help but roll her eyes, muttering under her breath, “If I’m not worthy, why drag me here Unbelievable…”
“What did you say?”
Cyan’s tone sharpened.
“Nothing,” Margaret replied. “Since we’re here, just say what you want to say. No need for all these cryptic remarks.”
“You-”

Cyan was furious. In all these years, no one had ever dared speak so insolently in their presence!
Did this woman truly not know who their prince was?
Theodore finally spoke, “Cyan.”
Sensing the warning in his tone, Cyan immediately lowered his head. “Apologies, Master.”
Theodore finally withdrew his gaze and picked up his fork. “Your medical skills far exceed my expectations.”
Already ravenous, Margaret began eating eagerly. “Not really. Today was nothing.”
“The Life Preserve Pavilion couldn’t cure that child. You did. That’s not ‘nothing.”
Theodore set down his fork and wiped his mouth delicately. “Therefore, you must surely recognize the poison afflicting me.”
Margaret’s lips twitched….
So this was about that!
She’d wondered why he’d suddenly sought her out….
Truth be told, she’d known from their first meeting that the man before her was deeply poisoned and hadn’t long to live.
But what did that have to do with her?
Back then, she’d been seriously injured herself. Curing his blood parasites had been more than generous.
Besides, his current poison was no simple matter.

It would take time, effort, and various rare medicinal ingredients…
They were practically strangers. There was no reason for her to invest so much.
Feigning ignorance, she said casually, “You’re poisoned? I had no idea.”
Theodore’s eyes narrowed. “I know you want to dissolve your engagement with the Crown Prince.”
Margaret stiffened. Who exactly was this man?
He spoke of the Crown Prince so casually…
And mentioning the engagement meant he’d investigated her.
Her wariness deepened. “The Crown Prince and I have already signed the dissolution agreement. No need for anyone else’s concern.”
“Add one hundred thousand.”
