Chapter 251 Won’t Abandon You

Thalia took the package and glanced at it. There was no sender’s name on the label

The receptionist had work to do, so she didn’t linger and left the office right away. As the door closed, Thalia picked up her phone and sat down. Tyron’s face reappeared on the screen.

“You got the dress, right?”

It was then that Thalia realized that the package was from Tyren. “So, it’s from you. I was wondering why I’d gotten a delivery, I hadn’t bought anything”

Tyren’s lips curved as he said softly, “I picked the style you like most. Try it later and see if it fits. I’ll come by the office to pick you up after work”

Warmth spread through Thalia’s chest. Only Tyren had ever kept her in his mind like this. No matter what he did, she could always rely on him completely.

She had been so foolish before, hurting him over and over for Alden. She had almost lost him forever!

Tyren, thank you for coming back” Thalia was truly grateful that she got to see him come home again.

Tyren’s expression was filled with affection. “Silly, I’m your brother. Other people might abandon you, but I won’t.”

Thalia’s nose stung, Afraid she’d start crying if they kept talking, she used trying on the dress as an excuse to hurriedly end the call. She sat in a dare for a moment before finally opening the gift box.

Inside was a red evening gown, simple in design, but the details across the chest added a subtle allure.

She had always loved bright colors, but ever since Alden once casually said, “Red doesn’t suit you,” she never wore red again.

The dress was her exact size. Knowing it would fit, Thalia didn’t bother trying it on and carefully placed it back into the box.

She kept waking up from dreams and hadn’t slept well the previous night, so she went to the break room to make coffee. While she drank, she scrolled through her phone.

She didn’t expect to stumble upon another Instagram post from Kiera. The photo showed a gold–embossed Sotheby invite. Beside it lay a seductive red gown and a set of expensive jewelry.

Thalia didn’t have to guess. Alden had gifted those to her.

She put her phone down without giving it another glance, composed herself, and focused on work.

The whole day passed without Thalia seeing Alden at the office. He was probably so busy trying to make Kiera happy that he didn’t care about anything else.

Before, whenever he wasn’t around, Thalia would immediately call him. But now, she simply set aside every document that needed his signature. She didn’t contact him at all.

In the afternoon, Thalia waited outside the office building early. She happened to spot Alden’s car driving out of the underground parking lot. And she didn’t even need to look closely to know who was sitting in the passenger seat. Kiera was wearing the exact dress and jewelry she had posted on Instagram.

Alden slowed the car to a stop beside Thalia. The window rolled down, and Kiera poked her head out, asking with fake concern, “Lia, are you waiting for Aldy?”

The moment Alden saw Thalia, he assumed she was waiting to apologize to him. So, when Kiera asked, he said coldly,” Kiera’s upset. I’m taking her out for some air. Whatever you need, we’ll talk about it later.”

Thalia didn’t even spare either of them a glance. She was looking somewhere else. Just then, a black Rolls–Royce was pulling up. Spotting Tyren inside, she smiled brightly and waved. As soon as the car stopped, she walked over.
