Turning to look at Evelyn, Dominic couldn't help but feel that Evelyn was better after all.
She was his savior, and she was willing to have his children.
"Let's go, Evelyn. We're going home."

At the Eclipse Noir Club.
Melanie hadn't actually made plans with Daphne; she had just said that to deliberately annoy Dominic.
She could tell that her staying out for several days and nights had made Dominic feel a bit insecure.
That was why, despite clearly feeling the pinch, he had still bought her a dress worth a few hundred thousand dollars.

A magnetic voice sounded from behind her. Melanie turned around and, as expected, saw Preston.
Preston hadn't changed into his casual clothes yet. He was in his usual black suit and white gloves, exuding an imposing presence.
He held up his phone, which was displaying the very dress she had just photographed and listed.
"Yes, I'm cashing out."
Melanie was honest.
"How much?"
Preston asked the question so quickly and directly that Melanie didn't register it at first.
"Huh? You want to buy it?"
"Yes."
Seeing Preston nod, Melanie blurted out:
