She Quit Her Family and Found Herself novel Chapter 373

Normally, Cora had a temper like a firecracker and would explode at the slightest provocation, but right now, she just clutched her face in absolute silence, shaking her head.

Looking thoroughly disheveled, Sylvie stood on the sidelines. Watching the chaotic mess the family had become—especially seeing Cora take a slap to the face from Wade—brought a flash of smug satisfaction to her eyes.

She quickly hid her amusement, though, and stepped forward with reddened eyes. "Cora, just help Miles. Aren't you usually the one who spoils him the most? Ah, it's such a shame I don't have this blood type, or I would absolutely donate for him."

"Shut your mouth!" Cora violently shoved Sylvie away. "You fake, hypocritical bitch, get out of here! You have no right to speak!"

Caught completely off guard by the violent shove, Sylvie lost her balance and crashed hard onto her rear right in front of everyone.

The sharp pain shooting up from her tailbone instantly surged through her entire body.

She sat on the floor, grimacing in agony, unable to recover for several moments. But not a single person in the hallway stepped forward to help her up.

In fact, nobody even paid her a second glance.

Herbert's face was thunderous as he walked up to his sister. "Cora, why can't you donate blood to Miles? You are the only one who can save him right now. Why won't you do it?"

Cora just shook her head, massive teardrops rolling down her cheeks.

Hulda couldn't wait any longer. She turned to the doctor. "Doctor, is there any other way? Please, you have to save my son."

The doctor looked deeply troubled. "Right now, only you and the boy's aunt share this blood type. Logically, the aunt is the best choice. Direct relatives donating blood carry a very high risk of fatal complications. In principle, if there is anyone else available, we strictly avoid direct familial transfusions, but if..."

Before the doctor could finish, the OR doors burst open again.
