Chapter 16
Liana roared, “I’ll make sure you make the headlines tomorrow!”
The moment Liana mentioned the police and reporters, Logan finally regained a sliver of his sanity.
He cared a lot about his image and would never allow any scandal to leak. After all, it would hurt the company’s stock prices.
More importantly, he couldn’t let Olivia be dragged into this mess.
Olivia was in such bad health, and she was already in the middle of a divorce battle with the Lynch family. There was no way she could handle even the slightest shock or harm.
Logan shot Liana a vicious glare, looking as if he wanted to rip her to shreds. He gritted his teeth and forced out, “Fine, Liana, fine. You want to live here? Then go ahead.”
He nodded, sneering at her. “Then stay here. Grow old here and die here.”
He didn’t look at her again as he spun around suddenly. Then, he stormed out with his two bodyguards without so much as a backward glance.
The door slammed shut with a violent bang.
Liana stood there for a moment, frozen in place.
Only after a long while did she take out her phone and call the property management.
The call connected quickly, and the property manager said politely, “Hello, Ms. Wade. How can I assist you?”
Liana said calmly, “Hello, I’d like to report something. Someone just forced their way villa.”

“What?” The property manager sounded horrified.
Then, a barrage of questions came out. “Ms. Wade, are you alright? Who was it? Have they left? Do you need us to send security over? Or do you need us to call the police?”
Liana said, “He’s already gone.”
Then, she looked at the crumpled ball of paper Logan had thrown on the floor. “I’m not hurt, and I don’t need the police.”
She paused for a moment before saying firmly, “I’m calling because I want security around the villa district tightened. I don’t want anyone entering my house without my permission again.”

The property management replied, “Yes, we’re terribly sorry, Ms. Wade! This is a failure on our part. We sincerely apologize for the shock and inconvenience this caused you!”
He continued, “Please rest assured, we’ll upgrade the security system immediately and notify every gatehouse. Visitor registration and owner confirmation will be strictly enforced. Nothing like this will ever happen again.”
“Good.” Liana ended the call once she got that promise.
She bent down with a blank expression, picking up the crushed ball of paper and tossing it straight into the living room trash bin.
Then, she returned to the study and clicked “Print”.
The printer whirred to life, producing fresh sheets once again.
She collected the newly printed litigation plan and slid it into a document folder. Then, she picked up her phone and opened up her chat with Lucinda.
