Sleeping With the Wrong Man: Uncle vs. Nephew novel Chapter 17

Chapter 17

Liana looked at the words on the screen and immediately understood what they meant.

There was no way someone like Lucinda would sit still after suffering a loss.

She must have gone home today and dug into everyone connected to Olivia.

Naturally, there was no way she would miss Logan and Olivia’s shameful past.

Liana simply replied. “Yes.”

After the message was sent, Lucinda was silent for a long time.

Liana could practically picture Lucinda’s expression on the other end of the phone.

It was a full five minutes before Lucinda finally replied.

This time, there were only two words.

“I understand.”

Then, she sent another message.

“Thank you.”

Liana looked at the message and turned off her screen.

From this moment on, her alliance with Lucinda was truly unbreakable.

Their enemy was no longer just Olivia; it was Logan as well.

When Logan returned to the villa he and Liana Had lived in for three years, he looked utterly defeated.

He collapsed heavily onto the living room couch, his mind a complete mess.

Liana’s cold, unfamiliar gaze kept flashing before him again and again.

“Logan, we’ve been married for three years, and yet you’re standing in front of me, screaming at me for the sake of another woman. Ask yourself honestly. Have you ever, even once, considered me as your wife?”

He tugged at his tie, and he suddenly felt anxious

Right at that moment, he heard soft footsteps coming from the staircase.

A delicate, timid voice asked, “Logie, you’re back”

Olivia came downstairs wearing a silk camisole diess.

Thin straps clung to her shoulders, framing only her collarbones. The hem was short, barely covering the tops of her thighs, leaving her gorgeous legs in full view.

When she saw Logan in the living room, she jumped in fright. She let out a small gasp before quickly turning around, showing only her back to him.

“I… I was thirsty and came down for some water she said shyly.

She added, “I didn’t know you were home. That’s why I’m dressed like this.”

Logan looked at the thin layer of fabric draped over her body and felt his throat tighten.

He quickly averted his gaze and said with a slightly strained tone, “It’s fine.”

Hearing that, Olviia slowly turned back around to face him.

She walked to the bar counter and poured herself a glass of water. Even as she took small sips, her eyes never stopped subtly watching Logan’s expression.
