The driver was shaken as he called out to Liana.

Liana lurched forward when the car screeched to a halt, but her seatbelt held her in place. She

steadied herself and looked toward the front.

The Bentley’s door swung open, and a tall, imposing figure stepped out from the driver’s seat.

It was Logan.

The driver clearly recognized him too. His expression changed as he lowered his voice and said to Liana, “Ms. Wade, it’s Mr. Young. It looks like he’s here for you.”

Liana frowned tightly.

Logan walked toward the car with a dark, expressionless face.

He had gone to the police station to make a statement in the morning and got a warning there. Then, he went to Liana’s villa, only to be stopped at the entrance.

He didn’t dare to send his men to follow her anymore, but it didn’t take a genius to figure out where Liana would be. With Lucinda and Olivia’s hearing looming, Liana, as the attorney, would definitely meet with Lucinda.

So he came to the Lynch residence and lay in wait Unexpectedly, it worked out.

Logan got to the car and glanced at the driver, then knocked on the rear window.

The tinted glass prevented him from seeing Liana inside, but he was certain she was there.

He spat out coldly, “Get out.”

The driver froze, intimidated by the icy hostility in his eyes. Instinctively, he turned toward Liana.

Liana didn’t want to involve an innocent bystander. This was, after all, between her and Logan. She said to the driver, “Sir, please head back to the Lynch residence.”

“But Ms. Wade…” The driver was a little concerned. “Will you be okay alone? Should I give Mrs. Lynch a call?”

“There’s no need. I’ll be fine. Just go ahead,” Liana said calmly as she unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of the car.

There was nothing the driver could do since she’d already gotten into the car. After taking a glance at Logan, he fearfully turned the car around and headed back toward the Lynch residence.

Logan’s dark gaze locked right onto Liana. “Did you come to the Lynch residence to help Lucinda figure out how to deal with Lia?”

His tone was cold and heavy, and simmered with barely restrained fury.

Liana didn’t even bother sparing him a glance as she said coolly, “What I’m here for has nothing to do with you. We’re going through a divorce, Mr. Young. You have no right to question me.”

“No right?” Logan actually let out a humorless laugh at her unyielding attitude. “Liana, you’ve really grown bold now. Do you think you’re some big shot now?”

He clenched his jaw and spat out, “Who gave you the confidence to talk to me like this?”
