Chapter 30
Lucinda said, “Their food, clothes, and daily ne essities were all top-tier. Would Olivia have lived like this if she hadn’t married into our family? And now, after betraying my son, she wants to take my grandson and let another man aise him? Have him call another man, ‘Dad’? Absolutely impossible!”
The more Lucinda spoke, the angrier she got. Even her breath got heavier.
Every time she thought of Logan’s face, a wave of disgust surged inside. “That Logan looks proper and decent on the surface. He even counts as someone outstanding among the younger generation. Who would’ve thought he was doing such filthy, underhanded things in secret?”
Lucinda sneered, her voice dripping with disdain. “He really tarnishes that surname. Compared to his uncle, Silas, they’re like night and day. He’s not even worthy of polishing Silas ‘shoes.”
Liana quietly listened, lowering her head to eat, but saying nothing.
After venting for a while, Lucinda finally calmed down. She looked at Liana’s calm expression, then suddenly changed the topic. “The Lynch family may not be doing as well these past few years, but that doesn’t mean just anyone can trample on us.”
She directed her sharp gaze toward Liana. “Ms. Wade, are you and Logan really set on divorcing? Is there no chance of reconciliation?”
Liana looked up and met Lucinda’s eyes. “I’ve brought it up many times, but he keeps refusing to sign.”
Lucinda let out a cold scoff. “He’s a thorn in the Lynch family’s side now. My son was humiliated by him, and I refuse to just let this go Since you’re determined to divorce him, why don’t we…’
Lucinda paused for a moment, then said in a meaningful tone, “I can give you a hand and make things difficult for him. W
can keep him so overwhelmed that he won’t have the time to or the energy to bother you anymore.”
meddle in my lawsuit with Olivi
Liana understood her immediately. Lucinda wanted to use whatever connection and resources the Lynch family still had to sabotage Logan’s business.
Liana shook her head and politely declined. “Thank you, but there’s no need. I can handle things between us myself.”
She only wanted to get the divorce done quickly and reclaim what belonged to her. Then, she could sever all ties with Logan and Olivia. It would be a clean, permanent, and final break.

She wanted no part of anything outside of that.
Lucinda saw how firm Liana was and drew her own conclusions.
In the end, they were still husband and wife. No matter how determined Liana seemed to be, she probably still held back a little for Logan’s sake.
Very well.
Lucinda didn’t push any further. She lifted her cup and resumed her graceful, dignified demeanor. “Alright, we’ll do as you wish. Let’s return to discussing our case.”
After dinner, the two of them spent a long time going over the details of the custody battle, and Liana suggested several new directions for evidence collection and litigation strategy.
At 9:30 pm, Liana stood up to take her leave.
