Chapter 33
“It serves him right! How epic. That slap was satisfying indeed!”
“Slap him, woman! The legal wife slapping her cheating asshole of a husband and his nasty mistress. This is the most exciting live show of the year!”
The rapid clicking of camera shutters and a sudden burst of flash photography illuminated the scene. The chatters around Logan and Liana surged like a merciless torrent, washing away Logan’s pathetic sense of dignity.
“From what I heard, after his first love, Olivia, married into a wealthy family, he just married Liana haphazardly. It’s straight-up a textbook case of a man marrying a stand-in.”
“My heart goes out to Ms. Wade. Not only was she forced to watch the mistress usurp her position, but she was also being pestered by that asshole right on the streets. How unfortunate for her.”
“That was a great slap. That’s how assholes should be treated!”
The sound of every comment traveled into Logan’s ears, setting his nerves on edge and turning him livid. The changes in his facial expression were truly a dramatic spectacle.
Never in his life had he been so humiliated.
Expressionlessly, Liana listened to the chatter around them. However, she felt no sense of gratification at all, only an icy emptiness.
She watched Logan with a cold gaze and said in a frigid tone, “Logan, I’m warning you-do not pester me again. If you have that much time on your hands, you should head home and take good care of that younger sister of yours who’s too weak to even care for herself.
“Also, I hope that you sign the divorce agreement as soon as possible. Don’t make me go the legal route. It will only make everyone upset.’
Upon saying that, she turned around to leave, not wanting to be in Logan’s presence for any second longer. However, he grabbed onto her arm tightly once again.
“Liana Wade!” he growled, holding on tightly to her and pulling her back before him forcefully.
He lowered his voice, seething with anger that was about to explode from within. “Haven’t you made enough of a scene? Come home with me!”
Liana stared at his face, which had become rather twisted because of his anger. Her eyes nothing but utter contempt and disgust.

“Home?” She scoffed. “Are you confused, Mr. Young? That’s the home you share with your darling, Olivia. It’s not my home.”
Her words were like a sharp blade, stabbing right into Logan’s heart, sending a piercing pain shooting through his chest.
During their three-year marriage, she had never spoken to him icily, let alone delivering cutting remarks like these as though she longed to tear him to shreds. She had never run away from home for more than a day either.
No matter how much he neglected her, she was always like a tame kitten, waiting for him at home obediently.
But now, not only did she hit him, but she also looked at him with such a distant and frosty gaze under the watchful eyes of all these people, as if he were her archenemy.
When did everything change? Logan couldn’t wrap his head around it. He simply felt like the version of Liana standing before him was absolutely unfamiliar to him, so much so that it made him panic.
