Surrogate for the Alpha Prince in a Coma novel Chapter 298

Chapter 298

Her… beloved…?

Who could she mean but Grayson?

I stormed out of the office, and rushed toward Odette. Her friends gasped, backing away. I moved close to Odette, getting right up in her face, threatening her, ready to fight her if I needed to.

“L-Lillian? What do you want?”

“Where. Is. Grayson?” I demanded, growling.

She paled. “What does it matter?”

“Tell me.”

She huffed out a laugh. It sounded nervous, but still, she managed to smirk. “You shouldn’t start things,” she said. “No one is around to protect you anymore.”

“What the hell does that mean?”

“It means,” Odette said, “You better start preparing to head back to the Lycan Kingdom. War is almost at your doorstep.”

Grayson’s POV

My head was aching, and that was how I knew I was awake, coming to even before I opened my eyes. The world was rumbling under my feet. Was I in a car? I heard unfamiliar voices, deep male voices, laughing like they had just got away with something.

For now, I kept my eyes closed, staying attentive and keen to my surroundings.

My arms were tugged behind my body, my wrists shackled. I wore a collar of some description, cool and heavy, fitted tightly around my neck. Perhaps to damper my abilities. I tested the cuffs at my wrists ever so slightly, not wanting to give myself away.

They didn’t budge.

Whether from whatever Odette had injected me with, or the collar, my strength was greatly diminished. That was going to make escape difficult.

Especially if I had to save Josie as well.

Unless she managed to get away. If Odette had done this, than likely the Queen had arranged it. That meant I had been given to the bears like a gift on a silver platter.

The Queen would have easily given me away, but Josie would have been a tougher sell. For Josie’s sake, I hoped she was still at the palace.

“What do you think, Chuck? Think the King will want to cut off this prince’s head at the border?”
