Dora reached out and gently touched the nearest fruit. It trembled slightly, and a wave of pure energy rippled through her fingertips.

Then, the fruit detached itself and landed in her palm.

It trembled slightly, warm to the touch, pulsing with a surge of energy.

Dora began to pick the fruits with great care.

She didn’t dare use any force, afraid of damaging these precious treasures.

Once she had picked all six, she carefully placed each one into its own small box she had prepared ahead of

‘You must be tired,’ Dora murmured softly. “Take a good rest.’

The blueberry tree’s branches and leaves swayed gently, as if it was answering her.

She placed a few more crystal ore at the roots and watered them with essence spring water.

After finishing up, Dora went to inspect the rest of her crops.

The potatoes and sweet potatoes were thriving, and the peanut plants were dotted with a carpet of golden

blossoms.

Another batch of tomatoes had ripened, cucumbers dangled thick on the vines, and there were chili peppers, beans, and corn everywhere. Every time she stepped inside, it felt like harvest season all over again.

The cantaloupes filled the air with a sweet, ripe aroma, and the watermelons were huge and perfectly round.

Dora harvested all the ripe produce, storing some in the stasis space for later and saving the rest for tonight’s

meal.

The leafy greens growing in the black soil looked lush and healthy. Dora picked a handful of the freshest, tender leaves, enough to last her for several days.

She exchanged another batch of pasta, flour, cooking oil, snacks, and some takeout food.

‘Even if the city goes into lockdown during the wet season, I won’t have to worry now, Dora thought, feeling satisfied.

After taking care of everything, Dora finally exited her Spatial Realm.

She gave a big stretch, her joints cracking as she moved.

Looking out the window, she saw the sun was already dipping low in the west. It must be almost five o’clock.

‘I actually slept all the way into the afternoon… she thought.

She shook her head, got out of bed, freshened up, changed into some comfy loungewear, and made her way downstairs.

Downstairs, Seven was wandering around the living room, its screen showing a look of concentration.

It was watering the mutant plants Dora had been raising.

When Seven spotted Dora coming downstairs, it quickly set down the watering can and zipped over, full of enthusiasm. “Master! You’re awake! Let me bring you your food!”

“No rush,” Dora waved her hand dismissively. “I’m not hungry.”

“Absolutely not!” Seven’s screen flashed with a bunch of exclamation marks.

Seven said, “You’ve been asleep for ages, you must be starving!

“I’ve been keeping your meal warm, just waiting for you to wake up!”

With that, it zoomed straight into the kitchen.

Dora shook her head with a smile and settled onto the couch.

In no time, Seven came out carrying a tray.

On it was a steaming bowl of scooping food, a few plates of light side dishes, and the bagel.

“Here, Master, have a snack first. Dinner will be ready in a bit,” Seven said eagerly.

It set the tray down on the coffee table with attentive care.

“You’re such a sweetheart, Seven,” Dora praised.

As Dora ate, she asked, “Where is everyone else?”

Seven immediately reported, “Mr. Golding left early this morning. He said he had business at the military headquarters, but he’ll be back for dinner tonight.

“Mr. Thomas and Mr. Blackthorne have been poring over weapon blueprints and sorting out personnel assignments, they’ve been at it all afternoon.

“Mr. York is busy upgrading the construction bots. He said he wants to get the house fully upgraded before the wet season rolls in.

“And Mr. Voss is working on refining the crystal ore.”

Dora took a sip of the scooping food and asked, “Did everyone eat?”

“Of course! I delivered everyone’s meal right on time!” Seven replied.

Seven puffed up with pride. “Your beast mates were all very good, no one missed a meal.”

Dora couldn’t help but laugh at Seven’s antics.

After finishing her meal, Dora got up and walked toward the backyard.

In the corner of the yard, Lioren was crouched in front of a pile of crystal ore, holding a chunk up and studying it under the sunlight.

His cat ears gave a little twitch, his tail swaying lazily behind him, looking every bit the scholar as he focused intently.

Dora slipped up behind him and covered his eyes.

“Guess who I am?” she said playfully.

“Hey, Sou Sou,” Lioren replied with a smile. “I always know when you’re near, your scent gives you away.”

Dora released her hands, circled around to face him, and crouched down.

“What are you studying?” she asked.

Lioren looked at her, his amber eyes full of tenderness.

“I’m refining the crystal ore,” Lioren explained. “These ores aren’t pure enough.

“If we use them to forge weapons as they are, their effectiveness will be compromised.

“We need to purify them first.”

Dora nodded and leaned against his shoulder.

Lioren stiffened for a split second, then relaxed and gently pulled her into his arms.

“Are you tired?” he asked softly.

Dora shook her head. “Nope, I slept all afternoon. Not tired.”

Lioren’s lips curved into a faint smile.

“That’s good,” he murmured.

The two snuggled together, quietly watching the sunset slip away, little by little.

From behind, Seven’s voice called out from a distance.

Dora laughed and called back, “Alright! I’ll be right there!”

She got up and offered her hand to Lioren.

“Let’s go get some watermelon juice,” she said.

Lioren took her hand and rose to his feet.

The last rays of the sunset fell over them, casting long shadows behind. At the same time, the Shawn Residence was locked down tight, nobody could get in or out.

When Regina woke up, her bedside was crowded with people.
