Chapter 183 Temptation Of The Foxy Guy
Elmer covered his eyes, exclaiming, “Ahhh!
“You two, you two, my poor innocent eyes can’t take this!
“I’m about to go wild here?”
Lioren snorted dismissively and turned his head away, but the tip of his tail flicked happily.
Rafe pushed up his glasses, smiled, and went back inside to enjoy his coffee.
Seven peeked out from the kitchen doorway, and the emoji on his screen was also the money sign.
After the kiss, Dora nestled in Clive’s arms and asked, “With all these Level 6 crystal cores, just how much crystal ore did i take to get them?”
Clive pulled Dora closer, a playful smile tugging at his lips. “Not much, really, just dozens of times more than what we got
last time…”
Dora’s mouth formed a perfect O. “With all this wealth, aren’t we about to join the ranks of the elite families?
“So what are you guys waiting for? Hurry up and level up your supernatural abilities, our family needs you to keep us safe.”
Dora glanced at the three men in the room.
“Clive, Elmer, Lioren, you three need to push for another breakthrough in your supernatural abilities over the next few days.”
She pointed at the five boxes of crystal cores, her tone full of swagger. “Level 6 crystal cores, take whatever you need.”
Elmer’s white beast ears shot up, his eyes sparkling like stars. “Seriously, Dora?
“Can I really use them however I want?”
Dora nodded with swagger. “Help yourself, take whatever you need!”
Lioren’s cat ears twitched slightly, a hint of anticipation flickering in his amber eyes.
With crystal energy in such abundance lately, he was itching to level up.
This was the perfect chance to break through to Moderate Level 6.
Clive stayed quiet, but something sparked deep in his eyes.
It was finally his turn to push for Level 7.
He’d been getting ready for this for ages.
Seeing the guys’ reactions, Dora nodded with satisfaction. “Rafe and I will take care of all the support work.
“Seven’s in charge of cooking and meal delivery.
“You just focus on powering up, leave everything else to us.”
She paused, her gaze turning more serious. “Last time you guys leveled up, I remember just how risky things got.
“This time, I’ll stay by your side the whole way, so go for it, I’ve got your back.”

The three guys shared a look, and they all felt touched.
Elmer was the first to leap up. “Dora, you’re the best!”
Liøren’s tail curled, and though he stayed quiet, his amber eyes shone softly with warmth.
Clive gazed at Dora, his eyes deep and intense, and finally just nodded.
Hearing this, Rafe set down his coffee cup and came over.
His blue eyes were gentle, just the right amount of warmth. “Don’t worry, Dory. Let them do their thing. I make sure you well taken care of.”
His words were a little suggestive, earning him an eye roll from Lioren and a pout from Elmer.
Clive ignored everyone, scooped up some crystal cores, and made his way straight to the second floor.
On the first day of Clive, Lioren, and Elmer’s seclusion for leveling up, the house was eerily quiet
Waves of energy surged and ebbed through the three rooms upstairs.
Seven was busy in the kitchen, making sure the clatter of pots and pans was kept to a minimum, not wanting to disturb the three upstairs.
Dora grabbed the freshest crops from her Spatial Realm.
Seven whipped up nutritious meals and dropped them off at each door right on schedule.
Its screen was always lit up with a big, cheerful grin.

After breakfast, Dora, who’d been running around all morning, slumped onto the couch and rubbed her temples.
She’d barely slept last night, sneaking upstairs every so often to check on the guys. Only after making sure their energy fluctuations were steady did she finally dare to catch a quick nap.
The rain outside had finally stopped, and for once during the wet season, the sun was shining. Golden sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, spreading a blanket of warmth across the floor.
“Dory, try this,” Rafe said, bringing over a drink and settling down next to her.
Dora took the glass and sipped it.
It was lemonade, cool, refreshing, with just the right balance of sweet and tart.
“Is there ice in this?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Rafe gave a small smile. “Just gave it a quick chill with my ice-type/supernatural ability.”
Dora looked at him, thinking to herself, ‘He really knows how to take care of people.
“Thanks,” she said, taking another sip.
Rafe didn’t leave. He just sat there beside her, looking as elegant and composed as ever.
Dora could sense him sneaking glances at her every so often.
After a while, Rafe suddenly spoke up. “Dory, your hair’s a bit messy.”

Dora instinctively reached up to fix it, but Rafe gently caught her hand.
“Let me,” he said.
His fingers ran through her hair, softly tucking those unruly strands behind her ear.
His fingertips bately grazed her ear, making her skin tingle with a subtle shiver.
Dora’s heart skipped a beat.
Rafe withdrew his hand and calmly picked up his coffee cup, acting like it was no big deal, just something he did without thinking.
Dora watched his polished, gentlemanly smile, secretly gritting her teeth.
“This foxy guy is totally doing this on purpose, she thought.
It was late at night, and the living room was lit only by the dim glow of a single floor lamp.
Dora was curled up on the couch, covered with a thin blanket, drifting somewhere between sleep and wakefulness.
Rafe was settled in an armchair not far away, a book open in front of him, but his gaze kept wandering over to her.
Suddenly, there was a faint surge of energy from upstairs.
Dora snapped awake, instinctively about to get up, but a hand gently held her in place.
“Don’t rush,” Rafe murmured by her ear. “It’s Elmer, he’s just stabilizing his energy. It’s nothing to worry about.”
Dora let out a sigh of relief, only then realizing Rafe was sitting right beside her, she hadn’t even noticed when he moved.
He was so close, she could smell his warm, inviting scent.
“You…” Dora began, but then noticed the thin blanket had somehow slipped off her.
Rafe bent down, picked up the blanket, and tucked it around her again, his movements so natural it was like he’d done it a hundred times before.
As he withdrew his hand, his fingers softly grazed the back of hers, lingering just a moment.
The touch was brief, but it made Dora’s heart skip a few more beats.
She glanced up at Rafe and caught him looking down at her.
The dim yellow light cast soft shadows across his face.
There was a faint hint of a smile in his blue eyes.
