Chapter 62 Felix’s Visit
The suite assigned to Dora’s team had six bedrooms, three on the east wing and three on the west, connecting them
When they had registered before the competition, the tearn had signed up as two separate families, so the organizing committee had allocated rooms based on the number of males in each group
Now that the loot had been dealt with, the mood turned subtly tense again as they faced the matter of dividing the rooms.
Dora swept her gaze across everyone and spoke first. “Mindy, how about your family take the east side, and mine take the west?”
Mindy had no objection at all.
Her beast mates promptly picked out their rooms, each choosing one of the three on the east.
Dora was sprawled lazily against Mindy on the living room couch. She turned her head toward her three males, signaling that they should go ahead and pick their rooms.
“You look worn out, Dora. You should get some real rest. Pick your room first Elmer said, his eyes wide with sincerity and hope. “I can sleep on the floor. Keep watch outside your door all night.”
Lioren let out a quiet scoff. His amber eyes flicked over Elmer with undisguised contempt. Without a word, he sprang straight into Dora’s lap. His meaning couldn’t have been clearer.
Clive didn’t bother saying anything. He walked over, grabbed Lioren by the scruff, and set him on the floor
Ther he reached for the bag of clean clothes that had been sitting beside Dora on the couch, lifting it with a casual ease that made the gesture feel almost instinctive.
Without missing a beat, he headed straight for one of the bedrooms, the one with the best lighting and the most generous space, and claimed it by simply walking in.
His move was bold and unmistakably possessive, a quiet declaration of his rightful place as the husband. In that single act, he completely overshadowed Elmer’s offer of a hallway bedroll and Lioren’s not-so-subtle hint about sharing Dora’s. Dora watched the three of them, each so different, each quietly jostling for her attention, and felt a mix of exasperation and reluctant amusement.
She really was a bit tired after a long day of competition, but her mind was still running far too fast to settle down. Mindy didn’t bother heading to her room just yet. Instead, she settled back on the couch next to Dora, clearly enjoying the spectacle of watching her figure out what to do.
Earlier that day, while the two of them were collecting alien beasts at the camp, Dora had said that her Spatial Realm had leveled up.
Given that Dora had stored away most of the loot they’d gathered, Mindy could already tell it wasn’t just a minor upgrade. She had probably jumped multiple levels, putting her at least at Level 3.
Mindy had been asking her just a few days ago how to advance her own Spatial Realm, and now suddenly Dora was already there. No mystery as to how, she must have achieved some kind of deep synchronization with one of her beast mates.
And Mindy was incredibly curious which one Dora had chosen first.
‘Elmer’s offering to sleep in the hallway, she mused. ‘So definitely not him. Probably not the cat either, which just leaves Clive.’
Dora, meanwhile, was so embarrassed by the whole situation that she could feel herself shriveling up inside.
With all of them crammed into the same suite and beastfolk hearing being as sharp as it was, the last thing she wanted was to make a complete fool of herself.
Just as she was agonizing over how to handle the situation, the doorbell rang.
The sudden sound shattered the silent standoff that had filled the room. Everyone froze for a moment before turning alert, suspicious looks toward the door.
Who could possibly be showing up at this hour?
Someone from the organizing committee? Or perhaps a competitor from another team?
Clive’s expression turned cold as he shifted instantly into a defensive stance, moving silently toward the door.
Lioren tensed up as well, his cat ears snapping upright in alertness.

Chapter 62 Felix’s Visit
Elmer, acting on pure instinct, stepped in front of Dora to shield her
Bora Truwned and leaned toward the door’s intercom screen to see who was outside.
The face that appeared was young and handsome, though etched with exhaustion and obvious worry.
He wore a tastefully tailored casual suit that lent him a gentle, refined demeanor, but his eyes betrayed a mixture of anxiety and nervous formality.
Dora hesitated for a moment as memories came flooding back.
It was Felix Southwell, the third son of the Southwell family.
He was two years older than she was, and when they were children, Felix had always been the one to take her along on his adventures. He was the Southwell sibling she had felt closest to over the years.
‘What’s he doing here?’ she wondered to herself before finally nodding at Clive to open the door.
When the door swung open, Felix found himself staring at a stranger, a male with an icy, intimidating presence and a distinctly wary look in his eyes.
He froze for a second, then let his gaze drift past Clive to find Dora standing further inside the room.
His face brightened instantly, overcome by a complicated mix of relief and sorrow.
“Dora! It’s really you.” His voice caught with emotion. “I saw your team on the competition screen, and I spent hours trying to find out where you were staying.”
His eyes quickly swept across the rest of the room: Clive with his overwhelming intensity, Elmer, whose gaze was cautious but familiar, and the cat he had seen perched on Dora’s shoulder during the match earlier that day.
He couldn’t help but feel a jolt of surprise, wondering, ‘What exactly is the relationship between Dora and these males? “Felix?” Dora’s voice was flat, almost indifferent.
Felix’s face lit up at the sight of her, only to be swallowed again by a wave of guilt and anguish.
“Dora,” he said, his voice rough and strained, “I… we’ve been looking for you for a very long time.”
“Is there something you need?” Dora asked, making no gesture to welcome him inside.
Felix quickly pulled out a delicate temperature-controlled case and offered it to her. “Here… this is the limited-edition mixed berry nutrient drink from Starry Love. It used to be your favorite.
“I had to travel across several planets before I finally found one.”
His tone was careful and eager, carrying an unmistakable hint of pleading. “And… Mom really misses you.
“After you left, she got sick for a while. She keeps locking herself in your old room, sitting there for hours looking through your photos and crying.
“The fathers and brothers may not say anything, but they’ve all been worried about you. We spent a long time trying to find you, but you blocked all of us.”
He hesitated briefly before asking in a much softer voice, “When the competition’s over… would you come home for a visit? Mom… everyone at home… they really want to see you.”
Dora listened in silence. The exhaustion in Felix’s bloodshot eyes was impossible to miss, and the beautifully packaged nutrient drink in his hands clearly wasn’t something he had obtained easily.
The hard shell she had built around herself, born from regret over her past outbursts and the independence she had forced herself into during these past months, quietly cracked open.
Ever since Iris returned, she had constantly lashed out and stirred up trouble for no reason. Vivienne could be strict at times, but Dora had never doubted that she truly cared about her.
