The Alpha Slipped Inside The Wrong Sister novel Chapter 136

Evie’s pov

The questions came slashing through the air violently. “Is the child legitimate?” A man questions.

“Did Luna Kimberly flee because of your affair?” Another shout as he tries to push forward to get a better look at us.

Ryan’s entire demeanor changed into a very cold one as he glared at every single one of them. His arm immediately came around both Atlas and me protectively as he pulled us behind him slightly to shield us from the flashes.

“Who called the press?” Ryan’s voice thundered across the driveway with enough force to make several reporters visibly flinch but some stood their ground as they sought a story.

No one responded.

Instead more questions are fired quickly. “Alpha Ryan, were you secretly involved with Evie Gold for years?”

“Will Evie Gold become the new Luna of the Silver Blood pack?”

My heart slammed painfully against my ribs at the question.

“What happens now that Luna Kimberly has disappeared?”

Atlas whimpered softly against me at the overwhelming noise and I tightened my hold on him immediately. Ryan noticed and that seem to only aggravate him even more. Without even looking back at me, reached behind him and squeezed my wrist reassuringly before bellowing.

“Enough! Watch your tone carefully when speaking about my mate and child!”

Every single one of them stopped throwing questions, paling at his voice. Yet….even though they are now mute, every camera flashed harder. “Former Luna Kimberly is no longer relevant to my life,” he said coldly. “As for Evie and my son…. they are mine. Evie Gold is my true Luna, my true mate. It has always been her.”

Murmurs move around the area quickly until someone bold enough to speak louder, asked. “Alpha Ryan, are you officially claiming Evie Gold as your mate publicly?”

Ryan’s grip on my hand tightened firmly as he looked at the reporters murderously. “Yes.”

My heart skipped a beat, staring at Ryan in complete horror. He has no idea what he has just done.

Kimberly’s pov

“Ew what stinks here?” A woman scrunched up her nose in disgust as Hannah and I walked through the streets. We had drenched ourselves with piss and corpse flower to mask our scents from packs. It worked but we stank. Horribly.

I ignored the woman completely as Hannah and I pushed through the crowded street.

The smell clung to my skin so badly that even I wanted to gag but it was necessary. Every council wolf would be hunting me by now, seeing as they put a bounty on my head. I couldn’t risk being found, especially when I haven’t gotten what I wanted yet.

My hood stayed low over my face while Hannah walked beside me silently, wearing a similar cloak we stole from a store last night. We tried our best to hide ourselves, seeing as hunters were down our necks.

A television mounted outside a small electronics store suddenly blared loudly. “Alpha Ryan of the Silver Blood pack publicly confirms Evie Gold as his true mate-”

My footsteps stopped instantly and Hannah cursed under her breath beside me. “Kimberly….”

But I was already staring at the screen and there they were.

Ryan stood in front of the reporters looking furious and protective while Evie held a little boy in her arms. One look at him and I instantly know that’s the damn brat that’s his son. The reporters surrounded them and my jaw clenched hard at the attention they were receiving.

That attention should’ve been mine.

Ryan’s voice echoed from the television. “Evie Gold is my true Luna, my true mate. It has always been her.”

His words made something inside me snap. A loud growl ripped from my throat as pure murderous rage exploded through my body. Nearby humans jumped in alarm while Hannah grabbed my arm quickly. “Kimberly no! Stop!”

My claws slide out so fast they cut through my palms.

It has always been her, he said.

Her.

Not me.

Not the woman who stood beside him for years and stayed even when he wouldn’t lay with her. Not the woman who made every other Luna envy her beauty. But her…..

That damn runt.

Even though she now has a wolf and title, she was still a runt compared to me.

The air choked in my throat as I watched Ryan pull Evie closer protectively while reporters continued shouting questions. And the worst part?

He looked happy. Actually fucking happy. Happier than he had ever looked with me.

The sight was vile and disgusting. Downright sickening.

“I’m going to kill her and that little bastard of his,” I whispered, trembling violently. “I’m going to rip his and her throat out and make him watch.”

Hannah tightened her grip, her eyes darting everywhere nervously. “Don’t speak too loudly Kimberly.”

I barely even heard her, my mind too focused on him and her. All I could see was Ryan touching Evie like she was precious. He was looking at her the way he never looked at me.

A sharp crack split through the air beside me and I realized too late that I had crushed the metal railing next to the sidewalk with my bare hand. People nearby started backing away nervously as they began to murmur.

I was drawing attention. “Kimberly,” Hannah hissed urgently, looking around now in panic. “Control yourselt. You’re drawing

attention to us.”
