Chapter 15: The Black Wolf
*MELENA*
“Goodnight,” Eutis said softly as she quietly closed the door behind her.
I sat at the side of the bed, still scared.
There was a mirror before me. I began to take notice of my reflection in the mirror. I had not seen my human form for ten years, and it felt strange seeing myself now. I felt that I was looking at a total
stranger.
The last time I saw myself was when I was twelve, and now I am twenty-two and fully mature.
I stood up. I was very tall, and my skin was milk-white.
I ran a hand from my belly to my side. I was also very curvaceous. I then took notice of my hair as it cascaded down to the ground. It was as white as the cloud.
Shortly, my blue eyes became filled with tears, and I flung myself onto the bed, sobbing.
I missed my parents, and I hated that I was alone.
I cried myself to sleep.

I didn’t know how long I was asleep for, but when I got up, I was still within my cursed human form. I hissed angrily as I removed myself from the soft bed.
I peeked outside through the window.
It was very dark, and everyone was inside their house, asleep. Suddenly, a great idea came to me. I could sneak outside now without anyone noticing me.
I opened the door and hurriedly went downstairs, quietly grabbing onto objects to support me as I walked. I then unlock the front door and go into the dark.
I quickly hid behind some bushes, watching to see if I would see anyone, but I saw no one. I walked as fast as I could, grabbing onto any objects I could find to walk steadily.
A sharp pain hit me, and I fell to the ground. I was shifting into my wolf form; my bones were cracking as I changed. I felt relieved that I was shifting into my wolf form, even though it was painful.
My white dress burst from my body as my soft skin changed into white fur. I was now a wolf.
I ran. Suddenly, I hit something hard. I fell to the ground, and I saw a dark shadow walking towards me. I got up quickly as my heart beat like a drum and started to run swiftly. It chased me.
It leaped in front of me, blocking me. I tried to run to the next side, but it was too fast. It kept catching up to me, preventing me from escaping.

“Grrrr…” I heard it growl angrily.
It walked into the moonlight, and I saw it was the black wolf. Alpha Strider
He crept upon me slowly, and I walked backward, trying not to let him get too close to me.
I howled softly, scared of what he was planning on doing to me.
I started to whimper like a pup as he got even closer to me. I was now backed up against a wall, not being able to move any further.
