****TIGGER WARNING****
FREYA POV
The man was coming in and out of my view. My vision couldn’t make up its mind if it wanted to be blurry or clear.
He was carrying me through a hallway, if I had to guess I’d assume it was the back of the strip club. I tried to look around and see if the other girls were around, if someone had any of them or if they were even noticing that I was gone or that another one of the girls had passed out. My vision
went blurry again before I could see anything.
Then he was taking me out a big metal door into what looked like an alley. My vision went blurry
again.
I hit my head; a large green dumpster came into my vision. I lifted my head up a little bit, with more energy than it felt like I had, he was slamming me up against a wall. I couldn’t stand, my knees
buckled under me. My vision went blurry again.
I could feel his mouth on my neck, a cold breeze on my stomach, his hand running up my shirt. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. How the hell can this be happening? I’ve only been back
in a city for not even an entire f*****g day!
I squeezed my eyes shut and when I opened them, I thought I saw Colt. My heart felt warm for just a moment. Then the feeling of the man was gone. I could still smell him. I could still see his face
against mine as he licked my face.
I felt his name leave my lips, “Colt.” Then the world went dark.
COLT POV
Something was off. I felt tired suddenly. I felt very uncomfortable. I knew it was Freya.
“Faster please.” I said sternly to the cab driver. He understood my command and picked up speed. My Alpha command doesn’t work on anyone that isn’t Big Sky, but that doesn’t mean they can feel my command coming through to them. They just don’t necessarily have to obey me.
This cab driver was smart enough to know that he really needed to obey me anyways.
“What’s wrong Alpha? Is she okay?” Levi asked me
“Something’s wrong. She’s in danger.” I said, feeling the knot in my throat grow as I fought back the
thought of the pain of losing her again.
We pulled up to the strip club and I forced my way through. The bouncers kept grabbing onto me, trying to pull me out of the club.

“You can’t go in there, sir. Sir you need to pay! You can’t just… Hey! Sir!” one of the bouncers yelled
after me as I broke through them and made my way into the club.
Levi must have explained that something was wrong because they stopped coming after me. I looked around and found Jocelyn and her friends. One of them passed out at the table. I grabbed Jocelyn and turned her toward me, tearing her eyes away from the man on the stage.
“Where is she?” I asked.
“Alpha? What the hell?” She said, then her face went from upset to concerned. She looked around. “I swear she was just here Alpha.” She answered, sobriety forcing its way through her voice.
“Levi, look around.” I ordered. He turned and headed toward the side of the building where the
signs were for the bathrooms.
“She probably just went to the bathroom.” Jocelyn said, trying to calm me.
I could sense her. She was around here somewhere. Her scent was fresh, so she was just in here.
I noticed a dark hallway through the back that looked like it might have a door at the end. I rushed
towards it. Sure enough, there was a big metal door. Her scent was strong, she went this way.
“Goddess please just let her be getting some air.” I prayed as I pushed open the door.
I took a moment to look around, at first it didn’t look like anyone was out there.
Then I saw her. Anger boiled through the blood in my veins as I watched some man holding her
against the wall kissing her neck. Her head drooped down, and he pushed it back against the wall as he started lifting her shirt. He just began licking her cheek when I grabbed him by his hair.
Her knees buckled from her weight as soon as his hands weren’t on her anymore. I heard her barely whisper my name as I growled. I held the man by his throat.
“What the f**k man!” He yelled at me. “Who the hell do you think you are? I’m just about to f**k my girlfriend, man!”
“How dare you lay a hand on my f*****g wife!” I yelled. I heard the door behind me slam open.
“Alpha!” I heard Levi say, but I wasn’t done. I wanted this man’s blood. I could see his face go from
anger to fear instantly. I shifted my mouth and moved my arms to his shoulders, keeping him in the
air. He was a small omega wolf. No importance to any pack really. Clearly the scum of the earth. I
had no problem ripping his throat out right there. I felt blood spray down my shirt as he gurgled his
last breath. His eyes wide as he watched his throat leave his body and hang in my mouth as the light of his life began fading from his eyes.
I dropped him and turned toward Freya. She was just laying there. Levi is already by her side
assessing her.

“She was drugged, Alpha. Nothing deadly, looks like he was going to rape her.” The matter–of–fact tone that he had really bothered me for a moment. Really, it only bothered me because I knew exactly what that man was going to do to her. I caught him with his mouth on my f*****g mate.
I knew we shouldn’t have come here, I knew coming to the city was going to be a mistake.
Granted, I thought it was going to be a mistake because she’d realize she missed the city and wanted to leave me. This is worse! I brought her to the city, and she was almost raped. Thank goddess I had my wits about me and didn’t want to be at that trashy place Damon took us. Thank Goddess I could sense something wasn’t right. He told me about them coming to this place at just
the right time. I don’t want to imagine what would have happened if I had even just been five
minutes later than I was.
I took my suit jacket off that Damon made me wear to that disgusting hole in the wall. I wrapped
Freya up in it and I took her back to the cab. The driver was a very smart man indeed. He stayed
right where I left him. I linked Levi to leave him with a good tip once he took us back to the hotel
we were staying at.
I scrunched into the back seat with Freya laying limp across my lap. Levi got in front with the cab
driver and told him the name of the hotel. He glanced back at me for a split second, I think he was
actually looking at Freya and making sure she wasn’t dead first. Then, as instructed he drove off
and quickly got us to the hotel.
The driver rushed out of the car and opened my door so Levi could help me get her out of the car
without hurting her. Once she was out and I was walking into the hotel Levi tipped the man and
thanked him for his services for the night. He walked in rushing in place behind me.
I got stares all through the lobby. Walking around with an unconscious woman in my arms and
blood all over me, I probably looked like a maniac. Levi paid them just as little mind as I did. He
took us to the elevator. A young couple went to get into the elevator behind us, but Levi gave them
a look and they quickly backed out, apologizing.
