Chloe and everyone else followed the sound and looked over. The lively vibe gradually faded, leaving an awkward silence.

Not far from the crowd, Andrea stood in a beige coat, her long, straight hair neatly tucked behind her ears. Her features, still untouched by surgery, were significantly refined by makeup.

Her dancing background gave her a natural elegance, and now she seemed even softer and more approachable. She gazed at Ian with eyes full of longing and a touch of vulnerability, the king that could make any guy want to protect her.

‘Honestly, if I hadn’t known what Andrea was really like, even I would feel bad for her, Chloe thought.

Seeing Andrea heading straight for Ian, Chloe subtly stepped back a couple of steps, quietly putting some space between herself and Ian.

Everyone exchanged confused glances. “Who is that woman? She’s calling Ian like they’re super close,” someone whispered.

“Did you see the way she looks at him? There’s definitely something going on there,” another person gossiped.

“Is she here to crash the party or what?” someone else muttered.

“Honestly, looks like she’s here to snatch him away,” another person guessed.

“Ian really kept this hidden so well. We hung out with him all the time, and never once suspected there was anyone else around besides Chloe,” someone snickered. The gossip just kept getting wilder and wilder.

Miranda stood beside Chloe’s parents, her expression grim and serious.

Patrick walked up behind Ian and lowered his voice, “Ian, why did she show up?”

Ian’s gaze locked onto Chloe, unwavering and intense. His lips pressed into a thin line. He didn’t say a word and just kept staring at her.

Chloe felt her nerves tighten under Ian’s sharp, almost intimidating stare. She finally broke the silence. “Why are you giving me that look?”

Ian’s eyes darkened as he studied her. “Everyone else is asking who she is. Why aren’t you?”

Chloe pointed at Andrea, now standing right in front of lan. “Is she someone you invited?”

Chloe wondered, ‘His reaction seems off. Shouldn’t he be teary-eyed and rushing over to hug Andrea right now?’ Her gaze grew cold as she met lan’s eyes, her stare full of doubt.

They stared at each other, just inches apart. Jan instinctively dodged Chloe’s gaze, finally turning to look at Andrea.

Andrea stood close to lan, her fingers trembling with excitement as she gazed at him. Though two years had passed since their last encounter, he still possessed that same irresistible charm, as handsome and captivating as ever.

Andrea thought, resentment flaring up inside her, ‘Just one look from him could, in a heartbeat, make anyone fall for him. Why should a guy like him end up with anyone else but me?’

Andrea tried to grab Ian’s hands, but he instinctively pulled away almost like he was dodging a bullet. In doing so, he ended up stepping on Patrick’s foot behind him, making Patrick yelp in pain.

While everyone else was left scratching their heads at lan’s reaction, Chloe’s gaze remained fixed on him, her face growing progressively more tense.

Andrea’s hands were left hanging awkwardly in the air, her eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at lan. She burst into tears

right then and there. “lan, we were together, weren’t we? How could you do this to me?”

As soon as Andrea said that, everyone gasped in shock.

Mia stormed up to Andrea and pushed her away from Ian. “So, you’re the one who made Ian fight with Mom and Dad.”

Mia raised her hand to slap Andrea, but Patrick was quick to grab her arm and stop her.

Andrea saw Ian just standing there, cold and distant, not even lifting a finger to help her while she was getting pushed around. Her tears only flowed harder, feeling even more wronged.

Andrea gave lan a pleading look. “Ian, can we talk in private for a moment? I really need to speak with you alone.”

Chloe had to hand it to Andrea. She really knew how to steal the spotlight. ‘Classic Andrea. Just one line and she’s already put her thing with Ian out there for everyone to see,’ Chloe thought.

Ian’s face was stormy, his whole vibe screaming “stay away.” His sharp eyes zeroed in on Andrea, not missing a single

reaction.

He said, his voice cold and commanding, “Before I answer you, you need to explain this. How did you know exactly when and where to find me here?”

Andrea’s face went blank for a moment, then she quickly ducked her head, looking guilty as hell. She sobbed, “Ian, can’t we talk about this in private?”

Andrea was confused. ‘What the hell is going on? Why is this so different from what Xander and Melody told me? Why is he acting so cold towards me?”

Suddenly, Ian snapped, his voice sharp and commanding. “Someone, get this woman out of here!”

As soon as Ian said that, everyone started whispering and gasping all over again. “Looks like Ian barely even knows her.”

“Seriously? There are tons of rich girls around who would kill to be with Ian. Where does she get the nerve?”

“Sure, the Irvine family went bankrupt, but Chloe’s still a pampered heiress. She’s got the looks and the figure. This woman’s so basic, how did she even get close to Ian?”

The gossip kept swirling, and Andrea looked like she wanted to disappear. She fidgeted nervously with her hands, looking utterly miserable.

Two staff members quickly came over to ask Andrea to leave. Bu Andrea slipped past them and made a beeline for Miranda.

She grabbed Miranda’s hand, crying, “Madam, I know Grandpa dward thinks my family isn’t good enough for lan because we’re not wealthy.

“I really just wanted to see lan again and reminisce a little, that’s. I don’t have any other intentions. Could you please let Ian talk to me alone for a moment?”

As soon as Andrea said that, everyone gasped in surprise again.

Chloe stood at the back of the crowd, her face calm and unreadable. She didn’t even bother to check lan’s reaction anymore. just quietly watching Andrea put on her act.

Andrea deliberately put on a show of intimacy with Miranda in front of everyone and took the opportunity to mention that it was the Hamilton elders who forced her and fan to break up.

In doing so, she was making it crystal clear to everyone that she was lan’s ex-girlfriend. She was casting herself and Ian as star-crossed lovers, cruelly separated by Edward.
