Chapter 309
Chapter 309
When the doorbell rang, the whole family instantly fell silent.
Xander glanced at the disaster zone that was the living room, braced himself, and went to open the door.
“Violet,” Ryan greeted as soon as he saw Violet.
He quickly stepped aside to let her in.
Even though Violet was in her forties, she looked amazing, well-maintained, and always dressed to impress.
As she walked in with her designer bag, Melody quickly kicked the scattered luggage over to the corner.
Violet looked around at the mess in the living room, then headed straight for Andrea. “Andrea, what’s going on?”
As soon as Andrea saw Violet, she burst into tears. “Violet, Melody is trying to throw us out.”
Violet gently took Andrea’s hand, her eyes filled with concern and pain for her.
“Don’t worry, as long as I’m here, nothing will happen to you,” Violet reassured her.
Then she turned to Laura. “Laura, they’re all your flesh and blood. How can you just stand by and let your son and daughter-in-law kick your own daughter out?”
Eyen now, Laura was still taking Xander’s side. “Violet, don’t talk like that. Xander and Melody have it tough, too. The place is tiny. There’s just no room for two more people!”
Andrea looked at her mom, feeling wronged. “Mom, Melody was even trying to kick you out just now. Why are you still defending them?”
Laura shot Andrea a sharp look. “Don’t talk nonsense. Melody might say harsh things, but she’s got a soft heart. She just can’t afford to take care of everyone, that’s all.”
Melody quickly jumped in, “Violet, don’t listen to Andrea. Families bicker sometimes; it’s normal. We just had a little argument, that’s all.
“She is my sister-in-law, and raising a kid on her own is tough. I’d never actually kick her out, not in a million years.”
Violet glanced at the luggage piled in the corner, her fists clenched with anger. “Andrea nearly went to jail for this family. If it weren’t for her, you’d never have been able to afford a place in Kingsford.
“Seriously, how can you act like this is all her fault?
“I’ve already paid off the 20 million Andrea owed the Hamilton family. My brother died young. Andrea and Xander are all I’ve got. This house is still Xander’s. Andrea is not here to take anything from you.”
Melody forced a smile. “Violet, we’re family. No matter when Andrea comes back, this will always be her
home.”

Chapter 309
Violet turned to Andrea. I’ll help you find a place to stay. Don’t stay here with them anymore.”
Andrea nodded, her eyes red from crying. “Thank you, Aunt Violet. I’ll do as you say.”
That night, Andrea packed up her things and left with Violet, taking her child with her.
As soon as Violet left with Andrea and her kid, Melody’s expression soured, and she scoffed.
She turned to Laura and Xander, saying, “Xander, honestly, you’d think Andrea was Violet’s own daughter.”
At ten that night, Violet brought Andrea and her child up to the third floor of her beauty salon.
Violet held Andrea’s hand and said, “Andrea, I own this salon, and this is my private suite upstairs. You and your kid can stay here for now, okay?”
Andrea gripped Violet’s hand tightly, her voice shaky. “Aunt Violet, I messed things up with Ian, and I can’t go back to Tecnovia. Xander and Melody don’t want me around either. What am I supposed to do now?”
Violet let out a sigh. “Laura and Xander told me everything. Don’t worry about Ian. I’ve already handled things with him. I paid off that 20 million for you. As long as you stay out of his way, he won’t give you any more trouble.”
Andrea felt a wave of relief, but she just couldn’t swallow it.
She’d bent over backwards for Ian, so why did she end up with nothing?
Violet’s gaze drifted over to Clint, who was playing nearby.
Violet handed Andrea a tissue and wiped her tears. “Andrea, trust me. As long as nobody else knows about your kid yet…”
Violet gave Andrea a meaningful look.
Andrea’s gaze landed on her son, her eyes growing dark with bitterness.
She hesitated, then said to Violet, “Violet, my son’s father is already married and living overseas. I tried reaching out to him several times, but he refused to acknowledge the child. I really had no choice but to bring my kid back here.”
As Andrea spoke, her eyes burned with anger.
Back then, she took 20 million from Edward and decided to leave the country.
Later, she targeted Leonard Hayes, the youngest of the Hayes family. She plotted to have his baby, hoping to marry into the Hayes family and finally secure her future.
But that bastard refused to take responsibility. He just threw some money at her, sent her packing, and then married his fiancée.
Andrea had planned to leave the baby at the Hayes family’s doorstep and slip back to the country, but Edward had people tailing her the whole time.

In the end, she couldn’t make it back and was forced to marry someone else.

Even if her husband beat her, she wouldn’t budge. She was determined to name her son Clint Sherman.
Andrea did it so that, when she finally came back, Ian would realize she’d never gotten over him, and he’d be wracked with guilt.
But she never dreamed that as soon as she got back home, Ian would unravel all her secrets and drag her straight to the police himself.
Andrea had spent ages scheming, but before she could even say a word or do anything about it, everything came crashing down.
Violet pulled Andrea into the room and shut the door behind them.
She lowered her voice and said, “Andrea, don’t get confused now. You need to send the kid away.”
Andrea gripped Violet’s hand tightly. “Violet, Leonard gave me money back then, but the kid is officially listed as my son. Where could I possibly send Clint?”
Violet patted Andrea’s shoulder, trying to comfort her. “Money can make anything happen. Just leave this
to me.”
Andrea’s face was twisted with hatred. “Violet, I’m in this mess all because of Ian’s fiancée. She’s the one who tricked me into coming back. I swear, I’ll make that woman pay, one way or another.”
Andrea thought, ‘If I’m miserable, then Ian and his fiancée can forget about being happy.
‘If I can’t have lan, then neither can she’
Violet said, “If you want to go after someone, I’ll back you up. But right now, what matters most is getting a foothold in Kingsford.”
She continued, “The women who come to my salon are all loaded, rich wives and heiresses from Kingsford. Be smart, mingle with them, and trust me, you’ll have plenty of chances coming your way.”
Andrea’s eyes lit up with hope again.
She thought, ‘I am going to rise to the top and make lan regret ever treating me like this.’
Violet sent Andrea Ian’s private number and reminded her, “Andrea, this is Ian’s private number. I got it from someone else. You should call him and apologize, thank him for cutting you some slack.
