Andrea was hauled away by the cops right in front of everyone, and the whole place was buzzing with

Violet was frustrated and embarrassed.

gossip.

Violet turned to Eleanor and said, “I’m really sorry, Mrs. Quinn. This is all my fault. Next time, I’ll bring Andrea myself to apologize to you in person. I’ve got to go now.”

Violet slunk away, totally humiliated.

Eleanor left right after her.

She pulled out her phone and made a call. “Bro, can you have someone look into Henry Quinn for me? He suddenly handed over that plot of land on the east side of the city to the Hamilton family!”

Mia stood with her arms crossed, watching Eleanor hang up the phone. Then she strolled over, taking her sweet time.

Eleanor shot Mia a frosty look. “Violet and I have been best friends for over a decade. You can’t drive a wedge between us just by saying a few things.”

Mia threw up her hands. “Mrs. Quinn, I barely even know you. Why would I waste my time meddling in your friendship?”

Eleanor’s face darkened. “Miss Hamilton, I know Andrea dated your brother, and there were some misunderstandings, but whatever beef you have with them is none of my business.

“Don’t even think about dragging me into your drama to go after Violet and Andrea.”

Mia’s intolerance for foolishness kicked in.

She looked Eleanor up and down with obvious contempt.

Mia said, “Since I’ve been friends with your daughter for years, just a heads-up. Apartment 501, Unit 1, Building 3 at Evergreen Residence.

“Next time Mr. Quinn claims he’s out of town or at some business dinner, maybe swing by. You might stumble onto something unexpected.”

Watching Eleanor stumble away, Mia wasted no time and called her brother. “Ian, I did exactly what you told me. I gave Mrs. Quinn the whole rundown.”

Once she hung up, still buzzing with excitement, Mia dialed up Chloe right away.

On the other end, Chloe couldn’t help but feel extra pleased hearing that Andrea had been sent off to the police station again.

Chapter 313

Mia said, “Chloe, I need to celebrate! Let’s raise a glass together, even if it’s just over the phone.”

Mia dragged Patrick to a restaurant and cracked open a bottle to celebrate.

After more than an hour, the two walked out of the place.

Patrick didn’t have a single sip, but Mia was totally wasted, barely able to stand upright.

Patrick was trying to get Mia home, but she was throwing a fit about wanting to go to the movies.

Patrick scooped her up and put her in the car. “It’s the middle of the night, and you’re drunk as a skunk. Just go home and get some sleep.”

Mia jabbed a finger at Patrick’s nose, slurring her words. “Patrick, if you don’t take me to the movies, we’re done! I swear I’ll never be friends with you again!”

Patrick let out a sigh and reluctantly took Mia to the movies.

While keeping an eye on the totally wasted Mia, Patrick just grabbed two movie tickets without bothering to check what was showing.

It wasn’t until they walked in that he realized they’d stumbled into a midnight erotic film.

The couple’s lounge chairs were semi-enclosed, spaced out just enough to give everyone their own little bubble of privacy.

Even with the seats spread out, Patrick could still catch the muffled sounds of couples getting frisky all around them.

Patrick tried to drag Mia out. “We’re in the wrong theater.”

He gave her a couple of tugs, but she wouldn’t move an inch. When he glanced over, that little brat was totally glued to the screen, watching with rapt attention.

Patrick quickly covered Mia’s eyes. “This is way too R-rated for you. Let’s go find something else to watch.”

But Mia suddenly yanked Patrick back down and straddled his lap.

Mia, still totally out of it, slurred, “Patrick, why are they making so much noise when they’re doing that stuff? Is it really supposed to feel good, or is it just weird?”

Patrick felt like he was about to die. “Get off me, now!”

Mia snickered twice. “Let me give it a shot.”

Patrick barely managed to keep it together and pried Mia off his lap.

Patrick grabbed Mia’s bag and was about to stand up, but Mia scrambled right back onto his lap.

Patrick lay flat on the lounge chair, pinned down by Mia as he made a last-ditch struggle. “Mia, listen to me!

“I might be a bit older, but I am still pure and untouched. If you do anything for me, you’ll have to take responsibility!”

Mia, tipsy and bold, lifted Patrick’s chin. “Old man, you think you can bargain with this lady?”

Mia grabbed Patrick’s chin and leaned down for a kiss.

Patrick twisted his head away, struggling. “Wait, Mia, just hold on a second!”

Patrick whipped out his phone, hit record, and tried to coax Mia into making a promise.

Mia, all serious, promised she’d give him just one kiss.

But before she could even get close, Patrick turned the tables and pinned her down. “Let’s move somewhere else. Kiss me all you want.”

Before Mia could even react, Patrick swept her up into his arms.

If he couldn’t beat her over tonight, he wouldn’t deserve to call himself a man!

Forty minutes later, in Patrick’s private suite at the Royal Court Hotel, Mia’s pricey evening dress was strewn across the floor with Patrick’s dress pants, her nude heels carelessly draped over his crisp white shirt.

On the big bed, things were getting steamy. Mia trembled under Patrick’s kisses, while his eyes burned with wild passion.

“Patrick, it hurts,” Mia whispered.

“Just cry out, and it’ll make you feel better,” Patrick replied.

The next morning, Mia woke up groggy and hungover.

When she saw Patrick pass out next to her, the memories of last night came flooding back.

Mia felt like her whole world had just collapsed.

“Ah!” Mia shrieked.

She tumbled off the bed in a panic, but Patrick grabbed her and hauled her right back onto the mattress.

Patrick pulled Mia into his arms and planted a fierce kiss on her forehead. “Now that you’ve slept with me, you think you can escape? Too late!”

Patrick played the video, letting the evidence speak for itself.

Mia, hearing her drunken “bold words”, buried her face in her hands, shrinking into Patrick’s arms, so embarrassed she couldn’t even twitch.

‘Seriously, how does a twenty-year-old college girl end up in this kind of disaster?’ Mia thought.

Mia squeezed her eyes shut, stubbornly insisting it was all Patrick’s fault. “I was wasted last night, I don’t remember anything! You totally took advantage of me when I was drunk and recorded that video just to set me up!”

Patrick tossed his phone aside, pulled her eyelids open, and made her look at the scratches on his body.

Mia stared at the marks on Patrick’s skin, her heart racing. ‘Wait, was it really that crazy last night?’ she thought.

Just then, Patrick’s phone started ringing.

Patrick glanced at the caller ID, leaned in close to Mia’s ear, and whispered, “Your brother’s calling.”

“Don’t you dare!” Mia blurted out.

She snatched the phone from his hand and hung up immediately.

She was still in college.

If Ian ever found out she’d slept with his best friend, she’d be dead meat.
