More than ten minutes later, Henry and Violet were sprawled out together on the couch, barely dressed.
Henry, panting with satisfaction, said, “Violet, relax. The moment you give me a son, I’ll kick my wife to the curb and make you my wife.”
Violet seized the chance to sway Henry. “Henry, my brother died young, leaving behind two kids who’ve had it rough since day one. Andrea’s my only niece. You have to help her out.”
Andrea was the daughter that Violet had out of wedlock while she was still in school.
At that time, Laura was working at a textile factory. Exhausted and sleep-deprived, she went into premature labor.
When they arrived at the hospital, the doctor said the baby was stillborn.
Violet’s parents forced her to have an early C-section and then lied to Laura, telling her she’d given birth to a daughter.
Only Violet, her parents, and her brother knew the truth.
After Violet’s parents passed away, and her brother died of cancer, that secret died with them.
Back then, Violet lied to Henry, telling him that he was her first man and that she’d never been in a relationship before.
If Henry ever found out she’d lied to him, he’d never be so obedient to her again.
Violet looked Henry dead in the eye. “Henry, here’s the deal. If you can’t get Andrea out this time, I’m heading straight to the hospital and ending this pregnancy. We’re done. No turning back.”
Henry stroked Violet’s belly, trying to calm her down. “Violet, trust me. I’ll go see Mr. Hamilton again this afternoon. No matter what it costs, I’ll get Andrea out for you.”
Henry got up and started getting dressed. “Just focus on taking care of yourself and the baby, and wait for my
call.
“I can’t come over for the next few days. The old hag at home has been watching me like a hawk lately. No clue what’s gotten into her.”
Violet got up, moving seductively as she helped Henry get dressed.
Just then, the front door swung open from the outside, and a whole crowd barged in.
Henry’s expression changed instantly when he saw his wife, daughter, and his wife’s relatives rush in.
Violet, in a panic, grabbed her clothes from the couch and hurriedly pulled them on.
Renee, her eyes blazing with anger, pointed at her father. “Dad, how could you do this to Mom?”

Henry’s guilt gnawed at him, but he couldn’t stop thinking about the baby boy Violet was carrying.
He hurriedly pushed Violet toward the bedroom, protecting her. “Hurry up and hide in there.”
Violet barely made a move toward the bedroom before Eleanor roughly yanked her by the hair and dragged her straight back into the living room.
Henry tried to shield Violet, but Eleanor’s brothers beat him down with fists and boots, pinning him to the floor.
Eleanor clenched her teeth, practically spitting the words out as she yanked Violet’s hair. “Violet, we were classmates for years. I treated you like my closest friend! And you went behind my back to seduce my husband? You filthy bitch!”
Eleanor’s two sisters stepped up. “Why even bother talking to trash like her?”
Then, three or four women pinned Violet to the floor, ripping at her clothes and slapping her silly.
Violet didn’t give a damn about her own face. She just curled up, shielding her stomach with her arms. “Henry, help me!”
All these years, Violet had swallowed her pride, putting on a different face for everyone she met. She’d buttered up anyone she needed to, just to survive.
Now that her thing with Henry was out in the open, Violet was determined to do whatever it took to keep this baby boy and force Henry to leave his wife.
If she could just protect this kid, she’d finally get her ticket into the Quinn family. She thought, ‘Once I become Henry’s wife, who dares gossip about how I climb my way up?’
Henry tried to get to Violet, but he was so beaten up that he couldn’t even get off the floor.
He snarled, “Having a mistress isn’t a crime, but what you’re doing is illegal!”
Henry pointed at Eleanor. “I’m taking you all to court, and I’m done with you. Eleanor, I’m divorcing you!”
Seeing this, Eleanor’s brothers were so furious they could barely hold back. “Henry, you bastard, we’re gonna end you today!”
The massive living room echoed with the sounds of fists flying, screams, and desperate cries for help, all tangled up with furious shouting and curses. Chaos reigned everywhere.
Mia was hiding by the door, filming everything. When she saw Violet curled up, taking all the abuse without fighting back or saying a word, she pulled Renee over to the doorway.
Mia warned Renee, “Your mom is totally losing it right now, so you need to stay calm. Your dad is getting beaten up, but he is still protecting that mistress of his.
“Even after all that, he’s yelling about divorcing your mom. Looks like your scumbag dad is about to ditch you and your mom for good.

“Renee, you need to snap some photos as evidence, then get someone to dig into your dad and that woman’s finances. If you can, try to freeze their assets.”
Renee thanked Mia repeatedly, then darted into the room to snap photos and collect evidence with her phone.
Still panting, Mia sent every photo and video she’d secretly recorded straight to Ian.
In the end, desperate to protect the baby Violet was carrying, Henry broke free from the guys pinning him down and shielded Violet with his own body. He even dialed the cops himself.
Mia quickly whispered to Renee, “Tell your aunt and uncle to get out of here, now.”
Renee told everyone to leave, so it was just her and her mom left in the room.
Renee stood protectively by her mom, glaring at Henry and Violet. “Henry, you betrayed my mom and cheated behind her back. I refuse to call someone like you my father!”
Renee snapped, “If you dare call the cops and get my aunt and uncle dragged off to the station, I’ll leak that bitch’s nudes online for every guy to gawk at!”
Violet’s face went ghostly pale as she stopped Henry. “Henry, we’re the ones who hurt her and her mom. I already feel so guilty. I’m not asking for sympathy.
“Renee is still your own daughter. Don’t let me come between you two.”
Eleanor was crouched on the floor, looking utterly defeated, too exhausted to even cry anymore.
She shot a venomous glare at Henry and Violet, spat on the floor, and snarled, “Violet, you bitch. Spare me your fake concern!”
Eleanor stood up and strode right over, jaw clenched as she glared at Henry. “Henry, my family backed the Quinn family all the way to the top of the eight powerhouses. Trust me. We can just as easily wipe your name off Kingsford’s map.
“Divorce? Fine by me. But everything the Quinn family owns is half mine. I’ll split it down the middle. Every last brick and tile comes with me.”
Henry, red-faced and furious, snapped, “You think you can just take half of the Quinn family’s assets? Over my dead body!”
Renee fired back, “My mom’s not only taking half of what the Quinn family owns, but I’m going after my share of Quinn Enterprises, too!”
Henry, completely losing it, spat, “You’re just a kid. Keep your mouth shut! This isn’t for you to butt in!”
