The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 128

If Rebecca didn't want their kindness, there were plenty of people ready to call her ungrateful.

Paulina practically buzzed with excitement, expecting Rebecca to explode any moment.

But Rebecca just kept her face cool, not even bothering to reply. Dealing with people like that? She couldn’t be bothered. It was like trying to swat away a fly that wouldn’t stop circling.

Magee hadn’t planned on saying anything, but since Rebecca was sticking to her guns, he held back his annoyance and spoke up. “A bet isn’t a joke, you know. Are you really sure you want to put first place on the line?”

Rebecca brought her hands out from behind her back and nodded, completely at ease. Compared to Magee, she seemed so relaxed that he suddenly felt like he was the only one losing his mind over this.

“This bet is fair. I have no reason not to accept.” If she won, she’d get rid of three headaches at once. Not a bad deal at all.

Then another idea hit her. She turned to Felice. “You’re not joining in?”

Felice had been making such a scene, there was no way she’d let this slip by.

Felice caught the hint, her smirk full of attitude. “Last year I ranked third in the whole year. I even got a full scholarship to Vantage Point. Are you sure you want to go up against me?”

Rebecca laughed, raising an eyebrow. “Third? Guess that’s not all that great.”

“Rebecca!” Felice was so wound up, she stomped her foot and scribbled her name down right away. “I was just trying to let you leave with a shred of dignity, but if you won’t accept that, don’t blame me if things get ugly. After the exam, maybe you’ll finally see with your own eyes just how wide the gap is between us.”

“Wade?” one of the teachers spoke up, regretting ever trying to calm everyone down since it had just made all the students more fired up.

But Wade just shrugged and stayed chill. “Let them be. Young people are allowed to be passionate. Let them sort it out themselves.”

Deep down, he was certain Bekki wouldn’t lose.

Lily had been worried that Wade would stop the whole bet, but when he didn’t, she jumped on the chance to collect the signed agreement. “Wade, I’ll keep the agreement until after the exam.”

It was better to be safe than sorry. With the agreement in her hands, there was no way Rebecca could back out.
