The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 21

“Sophia, are you okay?”

The moment the assistant spotted Sophia on the ground, his face went pale. He rushed out of the car in a panic.

Nothing in Sophia’s life had ever been this embarrassing. As soon as he tried to help her up, she shoved him away.

“Are you blind? You saw me walking up—why didn’t you warn me? Are you just trying to embarrass me on purpose?”

The assistant winced and tried to explain, insisting it wasn’t intentional. He honestly hadn’t seen her.

Inside the car, Shirley—who’d arrived with Harriet—was knocked sideways by the commotion and reached out to steady her.

Harriet, still rattled, noticed how Sophia wasn’t even apologizing. Instead, she was yelling at their assistant. With a stern look, Harriet stepped in.

“What’s wrong with you? You ran into us—and now you’re blaming us? Where are your manners?”

Sophia had been spoiled her whole life. She wasn’t used to being called out like this. Fury flashed in her eyes.

The assistant could tell things were going south, but he didn’t manage to step in in time.

“Who do you think you are, talking to me like that? Say that again and I’ll slap you.”

Paulina knew Sophia had a temper, but she never expected her to lose it this badly. She hurried over, ready to step in before things got truly out of hand.

Being part of the James family, Harriet was used to respect. Getting chewed out by a girl half her age in front of everyone brought her blood to a boil.

“Wow, what a big mouth you’ve got. I didn’t realize Harrisburg had such rude kids running loose. Try laying a hand on me. Try it. Make one move, and you’ll regret it.”

“Sophia, stop it.”

Paulina grabbed Sophia, reining her in before she could say anything else. There weren’t that many guests around yet, but people were starting to stare. If this kept going, it would be impossible to smooth things over.
