The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 68

“Paulina, Wade’s name is on here. Is Wade Lane really the chancellor of your university?”

Paulina stopped mid-motion, caught off-guard by the question.

Wade’s story was famous all over Cabinda. Everyone knew he was more than just the country’s top doctor—he also ran the biggest biotech lab in town, practically controlling half the nation’s medical resources.

A while back, there’d been rumors that Wade had stepped down from his position to lead a major university, all because he’d taken an interest in a genius student from Harrisburg. But the gossip eventually died down, and no one ever figured out who that student was. All traces seemed to have vanished.

Since her first day at the university, Paulina hadn’t seen the president. Everyone assumed he was simply busy. She never, not for one second, imagined that the elusive president might be the legendary Wade.

She chose her words carefully. “Irvin, honestly, I have no idea what’s going on…”

Irvin stared at the seal, practically glowing with excitement. “No doubt about it. This is Wade’s personal seal. I was lucky enough to see it once on my mentor’s documents. Trust me, it’s the real thing.”

Madonna knew of Wade too, and she was just as shocked. “But why is Wade’s seal on Rebecca’s acceptance letter?”

Everyone fell silent, stunned by the question.

Except for Rebecca, who just raised an eyebrow, looking completely unbothered.

So Wade was a big deal now. Interesting.

“I got it!” Egan clapped his hands, convinced. “This must be about Paulina! She didn’t just get into Vantage Point University with the third-highest score in the College Admission Examination, she also got into the top program, Apex Academy. Wade must have heard how incredible Paulina is and wanted to keep an eye on things himself.”

He was entirely serious, but nobody jumped in to agree.

The room was getting awkward when Paulina finally spoke up, her voice soft.

“I’m really not sure, but at last year’s university celebration, I got to have dinner at the same table as Wade, since I was there as an excellent student. He did praise me... told me I had a bright future, to keep at it.”

That was enough for Egan. He looked more convinced than ever.
