The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 86

“Right? That kind of energy burst only lasts a second. Five kilometers isn’t a sprint, there’s no way she can keep up that pace for the whole race.”

But that doubt faded fast as Rebecca kept running lap after lap, never slowing down at all.

Wade watched her dominate the track and nodded with pride. “Bekki really is incredible.”

“Wade, can you let go of me now?”

Magee had started out just wanting to know what was going on between Rebecca and Wade. Then her speed had left him stunned. Only now did he realize his neck was still trapped in Wade’s firm grip, so he spoke up with a miserable look on his face.

Wade finally let go, looking thoroughly annoyed.

Magee felt wronged. “What was that about? And what’s this ‘you have your eye on her’ stuff? Don’t tell me you two know each other already?”

“When did my business become any of yours?” Wade scowled impatiently. “Don’t bother me, I’m soaking up Bekki’s glory right now.”

If Magee hadn’t known how strictly Wade’s wife kept him in line, he would have started to wonder if this girl was Wade’s secret granddaughter.

He glanced back at the girl on the track.

Even with the wind tossing her hair everywhere, Rebecca’s beauty didn’t fade at all. If anything, it gave her this aloof, rebellious edge that pulled you in.

There was just something about her that made you want to stare. No matter how many pretty girls he’d seen, Magee couldn’t look away.

Irvin looked just as awestruck, holding up his phone to record Rebecca’s run. A moment like this was too good to miss.

Wade had the same idea, and the two of them caught Rebecca’s laps from both sides with their phones.

Ablitt wanted to help record, but Wade had already motioned him away with a look of pure offense.

Still, Ablitt wouldn’t give up that easily. If Wade took this girl so seriously, she had to be something special.

Not one to let a chance to impress slip by, Ablitt whipped out his own phone to get footage too. Worried his filming skills weren’t good enough, he quickly told the other instructors, “Don’t you see Wade taking videos himself? Start filming! Later, we can help him pick the best angle.”

Within seconds, every teacher had their phones out, doing their best to capture the perfect video.

Rebecca finished her run soon after.

The teacher handling the timer checked the clock, then looked up in shock. “Thirteen minutes, twenty-seven seconds—new school record!”

A cheer exploded through the crowd.
