Nina patted her cheeks. She hadn’t had a proper rest since the incident, and now that she could finally relax, a wave of exhaustion washed over her.

“Nina, you look terrible. Were you scared too?”

Nina didn’t try to act tough in front of her aunt. “I think so… I feel kind of dizzy.”

Margaret said immediately, “Then you should go rest at a hotel nearby. I’ll come get you after l finish talking with your sister–in–law.”

Nina didn’t look well at all. Margaret, wanting to get her home as soon as possible, reached out and knocked on the hospital room door.

Inside, Autumn, who had just confessed her feelings and been pulled into a deep kiss by Owen, nearly bit his lip in shock at the sound.

“Oof…”

She didn’t bite down, but her teeth still scraped against him. Owen covered his mouth, a pained look on his face.

“Are you okay?”

I Wouldn’t Mind if He Married In

Autumn quickly tried to check on him.

The moment she pulled his hand away, the man grabbed the back of her head and kissed her

again.

“Mmmph-”

Autumn’s eyes flew open. Owen was being so bold.

There was someone right outside the door, for crying out loud! When did this man learn to be so

shameless?

“Stop-” Autumn finally found a chance to speak, but Owen didn’t let go right away. Instead, he kissed her again, hard, before slowly releasing her.

“Autumn? Can I come in?”

Margaret’s voice from outside sounded a little urgent.

Thinking something was wrong, Autumn quickly said, “Yes, come in.”

Margaret let out a breath of relief and quickly pushed the door open, her eyes immediately landing on their exceptionally red lips.

“You two…”

Autumn’s heart leaped into her throat.

She thought Margaret had figured it out and was about to explain, but her mother–in–law’s tone shifted. “I think Nina got scared too. I told her to go rest at a nearby hotel first. I need to go check on her. We’ll head home once she feels a bit better.”

“If you need anything, just call the staff at home, or have your dad come over.”

Margaret looked at Autumn apologetically. “Autumn, honey, I’ll come see you again tomorrow.”

Autumn knew Margaret was worried she might feel neglected, so she shook her head and smiled. “It’s okay, Mom. Go take care of your business. It’s nothing serious over here. Don’t wear yourself out running around.”

“I’m fine. How could visiting you at the hospital be tiring? Don’t you worry. If there’s anything you want to eat, just let me know, and I’ll have someone make it and bring it to you.”

“Thanks, Mom.”

Margaret smiled at Autumn, then turned and left.

Once Margaret’s figure disappeared from the doorway, Autumn said with some concern, “Nina was

so focused on me back then, she must have been terrified herself.”

“You should go check on her.”

Owen glanced at her. “Didn’t my mom already go? What do you need me to do? My wife is lying in a hospital bed right now. If I leave, won’t you feel neglected?”

The word “wife” made Autumn blush, and she shyly lowered her head.

“Actually…”

As if he knew what she was about to say, Owen reached out and took her hand.

“Autumn, after the proposal, I thought about asking if you wanted to plan the wedding.”

“But my mom said that girls don’t want to get married while they’re pregnant, so I pushed the thought down. I was afraid you’d have regrets.”

“Now is the perfect time. You can tell me what you really think.”

“Do you want to have the wedding before or after the baby is born?”

Without a second thought, Autumn said, “After, of course.”

She knew that if she said she wanted it before, the Bennett family’s wealth and connections could absolutely create a wedding dress that would look stunning even on a pregnant woman.

But that’s not what Autumn wanted.

She had always believed in living in the moment and focusing on what was right in front of her.

Right now, she was pregnant. The priority was to take care of herself and deliver this eagerly awaited child.

Once the baby was a little older and could be looked after by others, she could devote all her energy to planning her own wedding.

Autumn voiced her thoughts in a small voice.

“I’ve actually always wanted to go on a honeymoon.”

Owen hadn’t expected her to be so excited about something like that.

“You didn’t go before?”

Autumn had been married to Mars Wright once. Did that scumbag really just give her a marriage certificate and nothing else?

“We didn’t.”

“We had plans, but then Mars said he wanted to go to the US. Lydia was studying there, so I said I didn’t want to go. He threw a tantrum, said I was being difficult and didn’t really want to go anyway. Then he went by himself and stayed there for over half a month.”

“I can’t believe Mars Wright treated you like that.”

Owen had only known that Autumn and Mars’s marriage fell apart because he had cheated.

He had assumed Mars just couldn’t resist temptation, that he’d strayed from his vows and turned into a scumbag serial cheater.

He never imagined that they hadn’t even been genuinely in love from the very beginning.

Owen’s eyes were fixed on Autumn as he couldn’t help but ask, “So why didn’t you divorce him

then?”

Autumn just smiled. “I was disappointed, sure, but I also thought maybe I was just overreacting. Divorce never even crossed my mind.”

“Besides, with our situation back then, I figured Mars didn’t want to go because he was worried about the cost. I actually felt a little sorry for him.”

Owen was speechless.

Autumn felt a little awkward under his gaze and looked away. “Honestly, it was mainly because I

was too busy.”

“Back then, our company was just getting off the ground, and the financial hole at the Lopez Group was getting deeper every year. I was stretched so thin I wished I could split myself in three. Who had the energy to think about a honeymoon?”

His heart ached as he gently stroked her hair.

“I will give you an unforgettable honeymoon.”

“We can go anywhere you want.”

She would have propped up the Lopez Group to compete with Cloud break Corporation, and she would have found a way to acquire it and make that scumbag leave with nothing.

He never would have let Autumn bottle this up for so long.

Thank god he’d asked, or who knows when she would have finally opened up.

unfulfilled dreams, was unbearable for him.

He had always wanted to make her happy; he couldn’t believe he’d almost missed such a huge blind

spot.

“It just never came up before.”

Autumn rubbed her nose awkwardly. “And everyone’s pretty busy. It didn’t seem necessary to bring

it all up on purpose.”

In truth, before this, Autumn hadn’t even thought she and Owen would have a wedding.

After all, they already had a child on the way. Talking about all that now seemed like an

afterthought.

And it would be a huge hassle.

Not everyone in the Bennett family accepted her; it was probably better to keep a low profile.

“Busy or not, some things just have to be done.”

Owen said, “To me, Owen Bennett, you, Autumn Lopez, are the woman I’m going to marry. You deserve the best of everything in the world.”

“In the eyes of the Bennett family, you’re doing something incredible for us by giving us an heir. Even if what you’re worried about happens, with us at the top keeping a lid on things, the people below can’t stir up any real trouble.”

“Autumn, you need to trust me, and you need to trust yourself.”
