Elsa was about to die. If she contacted Caitlin now and asked her to look after the Summers family in the future, Caitlin would surely agree.
Reporter Blake looked at her parents and felt a grim understanding dawn on him. But he was an outsider and could say nothing more. He simply nodded. "Alright, I understand."
After the reporter left, Elsa's mother sighed. "Honey, do you think Elsa will agree to our condition?"
Her husband narrowed his eyes. "If she wants to see us that badly, she'll agree."
All they had to do now was wait for Reporter Blake's return.
Elsa's mother clasped her hands together. "God, please, let that ungrateful brat finally see reason. Let her contact Miss Kensington and give our Elton a safety net."
Reporter Blake returned to the prison. By now, less than two days remained until Elsa's execution.
When he relayed her parents' message, a deeply sarcastic smile spread across Elsa's face. "I should have known. If they don't want to see me, then so be it."
After all this time, why did she still hold onto any hope for them?
"Is there… anything else I can do for you?" Reporter Blake asked, feeling a little guilty that he couldn't help her.
"Could you contact a friend of mine for me? And pass along a message?"
"Of course," he nodded. "Do you have her number?"
"I do. She was my best friend," Elsa said, reciting Caitlin's phone number from memory. "Tell her, when she has time, to check on the farm we all shared. The sugarcane we planted should be ready for harvest soon."
"Also… tell her I miss Joey."
"Is that all?" Reporter Blake asked.
"Yes," Elsa nodded.
Just as he was about to turn and leave, she spoke again. "And—"
"Yes?" He stopped and looked back at her.
"What about the 16th?" her husband asked, not looking up.
"The 16th is the day that brat was executed!" she wailed. "That damn curse! She really died without ever contacting Miss Kensington! Why did I give birth to such a useless child…"
Her husband's face contorted with rage. He smashed the cup in his hand onto the floor. "She wanted Miss Kensington to give her a proper burial? Not a chance! As long as I'm alive, she can wander as a lonely ghost. She will never rest in peace!"
If Elsa was going to be so stubborn, then he would be cruel.
She was the one who had wronged him first.
Just then, his cell phone rang. He pulled it out and saw it was an overseas call.
His expression instantly changed, replaced by a warm, loving smile. He answered, "Hello, Elton!"
A panicked male voice came from the other end. "Mr. Summers, hello, I'm a classmate of Elton's! He's been in a serious car accident here in Valerium and needs surgery immediately. Please transfer half a million dollars for the surgical fees to his account right away."

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
