Chapter 148
[Robin used an invitation card to invite Lucas to his raft!]
To everyone’s surprise, the game announced it.
Everyone was hyped and started spamming the chat channel with messages.
[Whoa, Mr. Sullivan is coming!]
[Why are you so excited? He’s not coming to your raft, he’s going to Robin’s!]
[Why are Enrique from District 35 and Leeanne from District 33 suddenly so quiet?]

Max got even more hyped. [Boss is awesome! Boss is the strongest! Boss is number one in District 33! Leeanne, you are nothing compared to him!]
Max was so excited that he could not help but trash–talk Leeanne.
Leeanne was speechless.
“What the heck? It’s just an invitation card. Why’s everyone freaking out? Mr. Sullivan might not even accept Robin’s invitation, she thought.
Despite that, Leeanne still felt a little worried until she saw a small boat steadily approaching her raft.
Standing on the boat was an old man with snow–white hair and a surprisingly youthful face. It was Lucas.
Lucas clearly had plenty of years behind him, his hair and beard white as snow, but he seemed energetic and cheerful. One glance was enough to see he had a kind and easygoing temperament.
Leeanne hurriedly waved at Lucas.
Lucas flashed Leeanne a friendly smile, about to say something, but suddenly his brows knit together, and he looked over somewhere else.
He paused, clearly unsure.
Leeanne knew that Lucas had received Robin’s invitation.
Leeanne called out, “Hey, you’re Sully, right? Hurry up and get on board, I’ve been waiting ages for you!”
Lucas was over the moon when Leeanne used his nickname. He beamed from ear to ear and waved at her with obvious delight.
However, he still looked a little unsure.
Suddenly, the sea demon vine unfurled its tendrils, quickly spreading across the top of the wooden pleasure boat. Its blue leaves formed a broad canopy, and bright yellow flowers bloomed, coming together to form the words “Welcome, Sully!
The yellow letters on the blue background really stood out.
Even Leeanne stared in surprise.
‘Wow, the sea demon vine really has some tricks up its sleeve. It actually made a decoration all by itself. That’s gorgeous! she thought.

Chapter 148
When Lucas saw it, his eyes lit up with delight, his grin getting even wider. He let out a hearty laugh and hopped aboard
Leeanne’s raft.
“Hello there, lovely adventurer! Hope you don’t mind me dropping by!” he said.
At the same time, the game announced: [Lucas has boarded Leeanne’s raft!]
As soon as the announcement dropped, the chat channel erupted into chaos.
[Am I seeing things? Why did Mr. Sullivan end up at Leeanne’s place?]
[Wait, wasn’t Robin the one who invited him?]
[Everything’s messed up! Is this a bug or what?]
[Maybe the system messed up? Robin, is Mr. Sullivan at your raft?]
Robin’s expression darkened.
Obviously, Lucas had not shown up at his raft. Instead, Robin got a system message: [Lucas is held up with something and can’t accept your invitation right now.]
Robin refused to back down and tried once more to send an invitation, only to be told by the system that Lucas could not be invited at that moment.
“What the hell is going on?‘ Robin thought, feeling totally baffled. ‘Is this a bug in the game?‘
The chat channel was still in chaos.
Someone typed: [Robin, did Mr. Sullivan come to your raft or not?]
Robin gritted his teeth as he typed: [He didn’t!]
Then the other players asked Leeanne. [Leeanne, did Mr. Sullivan show up at your raft?]
Leeanne: [Yep, he did!]
Everyone finally understood what was happening. Lucas had not gone to Robin’s raft; he went to Leeanne’s instead.
Robin went ballistic. [What the hell did you do, Leeanne?]
Leeanne: I didn’t do anything! Mr. Sullivan just showed up, waved at me, and insisted on boarding my raft. What could I do? I had to let him aboard.J
Robin: [You’re lying!]
Leeanne simply ignored him.
Spike: (Oh, wow, who’s throwing a fit now? Can’t handle losing, huh?)
Ellery: [He’s totally losing his mind!)
Spike: [If your reputation stinks, even an invitation card won’t save you. Mr. Sullivan simply doesn’t want to hang out with you!]
Ellery: [Exactly, he just doesn’t want to go!]

Chapter 148
Robin was near breaking point. He had been the one to send the invite, but Lucas had appeared on Leeanne’s raft instead of Iris.
Leeanne’s definitely cheated! I’m gonna report her! Robin thought, practically shaking with rage.
After searching everywhere, Robin still could not find the report button. The game was completely ruthless and never gave players a chance to fight back.
Spike and Ellery kept roasting him, and some folks from District 33 were making snide remarks, too. Robin was seething with anger.
A player tried to calm him down. [Robin, no need to stress. Mr. Sullivan’s not gonna stick to just one raft. Once he leaves Leeanne’s place, you can send him another invite.]
That finally helped Robin calm down a bit.
‘Right, I’ll just wait for Mr. Sullivan to leave Leeanne’s raft, then send him another invite. I’ve still got my invitation card anyway. Robin thought.
From what players had figured out, if Lucas’s apprentices hung around a player’s raft for too long, they would just nitpick everything and leave. But if they stayed only briefly, they would actually teach something useful.
At that thought, Robin did not feel anxious anymore.
Leeanne had already closed her chat overlay and went forward to welcome Lucas.
Lucas asked, “Lovely adventurer, what’s your name?”
Leeanne paused for a moment, almost calling him “Mr. Sullivan” before stopping herself in time. “Uh… Hi, Sully, I’m
Leeanne.”
Lucas’s cheerful smile never wavered, his temperament easygoing. Leeanne sliced up some fruit, hesitated, then itammered, “Mister… Oh, I mean, Sully, here, have some fruit.”
She almost blurted out “Mr. Sullivan“.
No matter what, Lucas simply exuded that true masterly aura. Leeanne found herself instinctively wanting to speak to him. with respect and treat him deferentially.
It took everything she had to stop herself from addressing Lucas as “Mr. Sullivan‘
eeanne realized that with Lucas, being overly polite or treating him like a senior was definitely not the way to go.
Lucas happily chowed down on the fruits.
After finishing the fruits, Lucas glanced up at the sun high in the sky and said, “Hey there, lovely adventurer, I’m starving Mind if I grab some lunch bere?”
Leeanne was taken aback. He’s hungry? Didn’t he just eat a bunch of fruits and snacks?
His stomach is practically bulging, and he still wants lunch? Is this just how the game is programmed she wonderes
Leeanne quickly said, “Sure thing. Sully, I’ll go whip something up
While Lucas wandered around the raft, Leeanne got busy making lunch.

Lucas liked his food light and was not a fan of meat. It was a good thing Leeanne had some fresh veggies lying around.
Leeanne whipped up two vegetable dishes, along with tomato egg skillet, tangy potato strips, and corn chowder.
It was about as light as it could get!
No, scratch that. Lucas liked his food salty, so Leeanne went heavy with the salt.
Leeanne set the dishes and rice on the table and called out, “Sully, lunch is ready!”
Lucas strolled over, took in all those greens spread across the table, and his face broke into a satisfied grin.
While the two of them were eating, the players in the chat channel were getting impatient.
[How long has it been already? Why hasn’t Mr. Sullivan left yet?]
[Yeah, he’s been on Leeanne’s raft for ages, and there’s still no updates! Leeanne, what are you two even doing over there?]
[What else could Leeanne be doing? She’s probably freaking out, trying to play the perfect host for the master.]
Spike: [Mr. Sullivan’s not leaving. He’d rather stay there than go to Robin’s raft!]
Ellery: [Mr. Sullivan’s made himself at home with Leeanne. Don’t even bother, he’s not going anywhere else!]
Finally, Lucas finished his meal. He must have really liked the food, because he polished off everything and left nothing behind.
The dishes were so salty that Leeanne could hardly eat any of them. She just sat there, watching Lucas chow down, feeling at bit helpless.
Lucas stuffed himself until his belly was practically bursting, then started wandering around the raft again, but still did not teach Leeanne a single thing.
Leeanne followed him around. “Sully, how did I do building my raft? What do you think?”
Lucas nodded.
Leeanne asked, “Sully, what about my wooden pleasure boat? Is there anything I should improve?”
Lucas nodded, then shook his head.
Leeanne asked, “Sully, what do you think of my coffee room?”
No matter what Leeanne asked, Lucas just acted all mysterious. Sometimes he would nod, sometimes he would shake his head, and sometimes he would just give a cryptic chuckle.
“Wow, he’s got good manners, Leeanne thought.
Leeanne was starting to get anxious. ‘Damn, Mr. Sullivan is really not easy to handle,‘ she thought.
Lucas kept smiling and speaking gently, but all this circling was not helping at all.
The raft was not that big, and Leeanne had already followed him around so many times she was getting dizzy hom all the laps.
As she brought Lucas back to the wooden pleasure boat, Leeanne suddenly realized something. She had been tagging along

behind Lucas, always asking for advice, still treating him like an elder.
It’s my attitude that’s the problem!‘ Leeanne thought.

She stopped in her tracks, her expression suddenly turning proud and defiant. “Sully, what do you think of my wooden pleasure boat? Pretty nice, huh? Looks even better than yours, doesn’t it?”
