Still uneasy, she told Rodger and the others again, “Make sure you keep a close watch on everyone in the group. Don’t let your guard down.”

Just as she finished speaking, Little Blue’s voice came through. “Leeanne, I need backup! Oh, and there’s something deliciou

here!”

Leeanne suddenly remembered that Little Blue hadn’t come back since it went out. It must have gone off exploring again.

Still worried about its safety, Leeanne headed over quickly with Apprentice 23 and Apprentice 49. Then, Snowy’s voice called out, “Master, I’m with Little Blue. Come quickly!”

‘Wasn’t Snowy supposed to be keeping an eye on Bob 13? How did it end up wandering off as well?‘ Leeanne wondered.

Leeanne rushed off in the direction Little Blue had indicated.

After running for about half an hour, Leeanne arrived at a grove. Little Blue and Snowy were standing there, and at their feet lay a deer.

It was a young deer, with a large wound on its neck from which blood was gushing. Its eyes were half–closed, and it twitched slightly.

Leeanne was surprised. “A deer?”

Apprentice 23 was stunned too. “That’s a young flying deer! When it grows up, it’ll sprout wings and take to the skies. It’s born as a third–tier beast, pretty tough. Your two pets are seriously impressive to have taken it down!”

Little Blue flapped its wings and shouted, “We fought for so long! So long!”

Snowy happily circled around the young flying deer’s corpse.

Little Blue said, “Let’s eat it! Let’s eat it!”

Apprentice 23 said, “Flying deer meat is super tasty, and since it’s a beast, your two pets might even get a small boost after eating it. They’re really lucky and gutsy. But if this flying deer has anything to do with the Bob family, you’re toast. Get ready to be hunted down!”

Leeanne said, “He’s been chasing us nonstop anyway.”

Apprentice 23 nodded. “Yeah, you chopped down so many of his Advanced trees. He was never going to let you off the hook anyway.”

Leeanne thought to herself, “That’s only part of it.’

Little Blue chirped happily, “Eat! Eat! Eat!”

It gave the deer a little nudge with its paw, and the deer’s eyes rolled back, twitched one last time, and then went still.

Since Snowy and Little Blue had taken down the deer, it naturally belonged to Leeanne. She walked over and gathered up the deer meat, hide, and antlers.

Seeing it was about time, Leeanne sent Little Blue and Snowy back to the ship ahead of her, then headed toward Rodger’s

group.

Chapter 168

By now, Rodger and his crew had wrapped up their tasks, and the players were hacking away at the trees for thems of energy and chopping at lightning speed. Each of them would probably walk away with three or four trees, definely a solid haul.

Leeanne made it back to the ship and waited for them there.

Suddenly, Apprentice 23’s expression changed. “Oh no, Bob’s family is back! Hurry, get everyone out of there?”

Leeanne quickly sent a message in the Assault Squad group chat, telling Rodger and the others to get the players to the shore ASAP.

Rodger and Danelle were close by, so they showed up in no time.

As everyone got closer, Leeanne suddenly had a thought. “Viney, cover us with your mystical fog!”

The sea demon vine answered, “Got it, Master!”

White mist rolled out from Viney’s tendrils, and in just a second. Leeanne’s raft was hidden under a thick blanket of fog. From outside, all you could see was a cloud of mist, nothing else at all.

Rodger and Danelle walked up, scanning the area. “Leeanne, where’s your raft?”

Leeanne said, “Just hang on. I’ll have Viney bring you aboard”

The players could see his name and were all shocked. “Wait, aren’t all Master Kaelin’s disciples supposed to be lost at sea? How come Apprentice 49 is here?”

“Creepy, doesn’t he look just like Apprentice 23? Is he going to wreak havoc here too?”

“Stay away from him, I’m scared!”

Apprentice 49’s childish voice called out, “Come on, hop on the raft! I’m here to give you a ride for sister.

The players looked puzzled. “Sister? Who’s your sister? Who are you talking about?”

Rodger messaged in the group, “Hurry up and get on Apprentice 49’s raft! He’s here to get you out. Don’t dawdle, or you’ll be

left behind!”

Just then, Apprentice 49 gave a few quick claps.

His raft began to expand, and in the blink of an eye, it swelled into a massive ship, easily 10 thousand square feet.

Apprentice 49 shouted, “Hurry up and get on board!”

The crowd snapped out of their daze and scrambled onto the ship one after another.

Just then. Emmett and Gideon showed up with their crew and hopped onto Apprentice 49’s raft.

Once all the players were safely on Apprentice 49’s raft, Emmett and Gideon were pulled onto Leeanne’s raft by Viney.

William was the last one still out there.

Leeanne, getting nervous, shouted, “William, why aren’t you here yet? Hurry up, it’s dangerous if you stay any longer!”

Just then, Gideon came rushing out with a group of players.

Leeanne quickly told them to get on Apprentice 49’s raft, and kept calling out to William, but he still didn’t respond.

Then, Gideon sent her a private message: [Something happened. We were just about to head back when one of the players suddenly called for Robin.
