Apprentice 23’s voice came through. Leeanne, Bob left. Get to Redbeak Island fast, and don’t forget the Treasure Seeking Orb

Earlier, Snowy and Little Blue handed over the deer meat that could help them level up to Apprentice 43. To express her gratitude to them, Apprentice 23 gave Leeanne a Treasure–Seeking Orb

The handy little thing could sniff out rare herbs to help Snowy and Little Blue evolve.

Apprentice 23 also reminded Leeanne to wait until Bob had left Redbeak Island before coming over

Leeanne hadn’t had the chance to do it yet.

Leeanne asked, “Is it that urgent?”

Apprentice 23 replied, “Yeah, things have changed. Bob rarely leaves Redbeak Island these days, but he’s out for something important right now. He might be gone for a whole day or a few hours. Get over here quick”

Leeanne hesitated for a moment,

Apprentice 23 pressed, “If you miss this chance, who knows when Bob will be out again? Hurry up and get over here.”

Leeanne agreed, “Alright.”

They hung up.

Leeanne remembered Apprentice 23 mentioning that Redbeak Island was a gift from Bob to his youngest son, Bob 13. Bob usually wasn’t there, so she couldn’t figure out why he was suddenly always around.

Leeanne couldn’t figure it out, but she didn’t have time to dwell on it.

She had to get over there fast.

Now that they were running into Tier 5 Spirit Beasts, Snowy and Little Blue were having a tough time. They needed to level up, and fast.

After tidying up a bit, Leeanne headed back inside and slipped on her Invincible Suit.

Sure enough, her leather gear could be worn underneath, and the stats stacked up nicely.

Leeanne stashed Little Blue and the now fully healed Snowy in her Pet Pouch, then gave Maeve a Summon Card, telling her, “If anything happens, call me right away.”

Then she pulled out her Redbeak Island Entry Permit.

“Yes,” she said.

In a blink, she was standing on the soil of Redbeak Island.

Redbeak Island looked just like it always did. Nothing had changed.

Leeanne was standing there, pulling out the Treasure–Seeking Orb, when Apprentice 23 and Apprentice 49 suddenly popped out of nowhere.

Leeanne immediately pulled a basket of strawberries out of her backpack and handed it to Apprentice 49.

Apprentice 49 was over the moon, munching on strawberries with Snowy and Little Blue.

Apprentice 23 called out, “Come on, let’s move. Hurry!”

Leeanne agreed, “Alright.”

It was a good thing that this Treasure–Seeking Orb didn’t have any time restrictions. If it were like the first Treasure–Seeking Orb, only usable after nine at night, she’d have to wait a long time again.

[Treasure–Seeking Orb active time: 3 hours. Do you want to use it?]

“Yes,” she said.

The Treasure–Seeking Orb shot up into the air, hovering about as high as two people stacked together, then stopped, releasing a gentle, shimmering glow.

It stood out, even in broad daylight.

The Treasure–Seeking Orb spun a few times in the air, then zipped off in a specific direction.

Redbeak Island was full of high–level beasts, but the orb usually took them along side paths. Even when it didn’t, the places i led them were never dangerous.

It was pretty thoughtful.

Leeanne and the others rushed after it.

The Treasure–Seeking Orb floated lazily toward the wooden cabin at the center of Redbeak Island.

It glided straight into the little courtyard.

Leeanne hesitated for a moment.

I have no clue who’s inside. If it’s Bob 13 or one of his kids, am I even strong enough to take them on? the wondered Even Apprentice 23 seemed a little taken aback.

After a moment’s thought, she nudged Apprentice 49, who was still savoring his strawberries “Hey, you go and see if anyone’s inside.”

Apprentice 49 wiped his mouth, pushed open the wooden door, and strode in without hesitation

He wasn’t fazed at all.

Since Leeanne and the others had stopped, the Treasure–Seeking Orb kept hovering and spinning above the cabin’s courtyard, patiently waiting for them.

In no time, Apprentice 49 came trotting back. “Hey, just the youngest one is in there.”

Apprentice 23 replied, “It is Bob 13.”

Apprentice 49 nodded. “Yeah, he’s sleeping.”

Anprentice 23 paused, then said, “Go give him a nudge and see if you can wake him up.

Leeanne couldn’t help herself. She thought, ‘Is it okay to always send the squirt out on these little adventures?

She asked, “What if Bob 13 wakes up?”

Apprentice 23 flashed a sly grin. “That’s why I sent Apprentice 49. Don’t worry, Apprentice 49 is a real favorite. Everyone in the Bob family adores him, so nobody would ever hurt him. Even Bob, for all his scary looks, actually treats him well

She gave Leeanne a mysterious smile. “Thanks for letting him have that deer meat last time. He leveled up, and now he’s even more lovable.”

Leeanne wondered, ‘Huh?

Is Apprentice 49 like the team’s little darling or something?”

No wonder. Apprentice 49 is so adorable and well–behaved that I always end up giving him treats whenever I see him.

This little guy has a knack for things.

Thinking about it, it made sense why Apprentice 23 always sent Apprentice 49 ahead whenever anything had to do with the Bob family.

Before long, Apprentice 49 came trotting back, all cheerful. “He’s not waking up.”

Apprentice 23 made a quick decision. “Bob 13’s still out cold. Don’t worry about him. Let’s head inside.”

As soon as they walked in, the Treasure–Seeking Orb spun with a little twirl, then floated right through the window on the Jeft side of the first floor.

Leeanne and the crew rushed in through the front door and headed straight for the room where the Treasure–Seeking Orb had vanished.

The room was spacious, furnished with tables, chairs, and mirrors, all finely crafted and gleaming with care.

Near the window was a large wooden bed, and on it lay a short, chubby figure.

His eyes were closed tight, completely motionless.

It was Bob 13.

The Treasure–Seeking Orb hovered right above Bob 13, whirling around like crazy, then suddenly dove straight down and vanished.

Leeanne blinked. “What?”

She thought, ‘Seriously? Is the treasure under Bob 13’s bed? Now what?‘

She rolled up her sleeves. ‘Looks like I’ll have to lift the bed myself.

Everyone else here was just kids, so she was on her own. She wasn’t even sure if she could pull this off by herself.

And she had no clue how heavy Bob 13’s bed was.

alked over, gripped the underside of the bed, and hauled up with all her strength.
